D3 OR PoE

PoE all the way. it will destroy Diablo 3. and it will absorb a vast amount of D2 veterans.

You're fooling yourself. D3 is a juggernaut and it won't even flinch at a very small amount of subs it might lose to PoE.

That said, both games are good. Play both.
No one will say D3 is good on this forum...

I will be playing both. I will say that after playing both betas I am much more excited by the potential of PoE then D3.

you'll have probably two months or so from when D3 gets released and when PoE gets released, thats plenty of time to finish D3 completely if the D3 beta is anything to go by. First act takes an hour or so.

I'm fairly confident i'll have D3 wrapped up and on the shelf by the time PoE gets released proper.

Perhaps you can clear something up for me. People in the diablo 3 forum said the beta is a small part of the total game and even of act 1.

So maybe there's way more content to Diablo 3?
No offence to those who've already pre-ordered it, or plan on buying it, but everything I've seen with regards to the third Diablo -- other than the name -- has left me feeling uninspired.

Grim Dawn does look pretty interesting though. Did you see that chesterfield fly? Daaaamn.
For me I expect Path Of Exile to be my game. However I will buy all of them. Including: Diablo 3, Torchlight 2, and Grim Dawn (if it is ever finished).

I already have over 200 hours playing Path Of Exile, and I enjoyed it very much. The reason I have stopped playing is the fact that Open Beta is coming soon and I don't want all my time to be feel wasted when characters are deleted or moved to an irregular league. Once the Open Beta is here along with Act 3, I will get back to playing Path Of Exile and will show more support as this game deserves it.

In the meantime Diablo 3 is expected to be released in a month from now. I'm not impressed with what I have seen thus far from Blizzard. But due to the fact it is "Diablo" I will give it a fair chance and I will buy the game on release day. I'm sure I'll play through the storyline, but that may very well be it. Unlike Diablo 2 which I easily played more than two or three thousand hours over the years.

Grim Dawn I am looking forward to as well, seeing as I really enjoyed Titan Quest. I have to admit the latest video of the Occultist Class was impressive. However this game is still labeled as being "pre-alpha", so it may be a long time before it sees the light of day. The only thing I really want improved is the UI, but there is lots of time for that. I'll definitely buy this game as well and play through the storyline, hopefully more than that though.

Lastly, Torchlight 2. I played the first Torchlight, and I liked it. It was more or less a filler game for me though. What I mean by that is I wasn't playing any other game, and I found Torchlight which I put a fair amount of hours into even though it was only singleplayer. Torchlight 2 improves greatly upon the first Torchlight, however this game is really too cartoonish for me. I'll give it a fair chance anyways, however I really don't expect to play it beyond the storyline.

To reiterate what I said, or if my post was "TL:DR":
I will play all four games, Diablo 3, Torchlight 2, Grim Dawn, and Path Of Exile. However I expect Path Of Exile to be my game of choice once I complete the storyline of each.

D3 will be a great game when it comes out.

It is highly polished , has lots of AI
and alternating attribute monsters

with a sick difficulty that will make you cringe.

a balanced and organized Auction house to remove
the spam of selling farmers.

---------

PoE , has great merit , but is a longgg way off
being anywhere near as polished as diablo.

Sure the open beta comes out a few months after
Diablo III 's official release.

But PoE might be a full year or 2 away from final release.
It will be a work in Progress.

--------

For me PoE is a great game to have a jam on and revist over the years. The Best thing is the plans for varying
leauges and play types/styles it will bring.

Where as Diablo III being polished and fun will reach
a level of monogomy and i'll find myself reverting back
to PoE , waiting for more developments too keep me busy :)
A beta key would definitely be nice, *hint hint*

Click "Pre-Purchase" on the left and buy a beta key for as low as ten dollars, *hint hint*

I'll play both games. I know there are a lot of Diablo 3 haters on here but I think both look different and fun. I'll give TL2 a try to but I expect to play PoE and D3 much more. TL1 was kinda boring IMO.
