I am really huge fan of D2 played it many years but i choose PoE becouse this game have awesome characher customization and its fun to play. D3 character customization is so lame... i propably play it only to see the story (maybe more if they improve customization).

" This. I believe its best for me to have options while playing games. If not I tend to get burnt out. Granted not every one has it in their budget to invest in multiple games. At the point I tend to find a few budget games that are maybe a year or two old. This gives me options give the life of a game much longer shelf life for me. Just my two cents |

" THIS, god damn it. And Grim Dawn when and if it comes out :P Why choose when you can play it all ? There never was any need to "choose sides" in gaming. Thats a totally new thing, and im sick and tired of seeing it everywhere. We are all gamers, we are in this together. Its not about who plays the best / coolest / hippest game. This last part wasnt pointed towards you OP, first part was tho :). Just play the game you have fun with, if it has to be one over the other, you have to try it. You cant base your choice on others opinions. Me, as I said, I play everything that looks fun to me. Stop once i get bored. |

" x2. Though Grim Dawn won't see the light of day in 2012. It's looking like late summer early fall before the first Alpha is even available. It won't be released utnil 2013. Can't wait to start playing the Alpha though! |

I played the D3 Beta(Patch 9), was an EBay Rent for 1 Day. So after that Day, i thought D3 is Diablo, but their is something missing in D3, but i cant figured out what it was...
Then i played PoE at the Publicweekend and i was totally flashed how good PoE is... WoW Respect GGG. For a free game PoE is da Bomb. The Best: I was faced with so many opportunities to skill my character. For me PoE is better. |

I've been a Diablo player for about 9 years, and I've been waiting for Diablo III for a good amount of time... Now that it's finally out, and I've tried the beta, I just don't have the same feel for it like I did for d2 or D2:LOD.
But PoE has instantaneously re-awakened my interest. I haven't been excited for a game like this since...well, Diablo 2. lol PoE all the way. it will destroy Diablo 3. and it will absorb a vast amount of D2 veterans. |

PoE: If money is tight, stay with Path of Exile. When the urge strikes you and you need more stash tabs or additional treats, I'm sure there's some price point package that will appeal to you. But not entirely necessary.
D3: I don't expect Diablo 3 to shift down in price anytime soon. So, expect to be paying $60.U.S. for awhile to come. I purchased Diablo 3 and I haven't even played the Beta. Yet I'm sure I'll find some fun as well in that game. One at a time is your preference and I can't blame you, so your call. I can say I'm having a good time with Path of Exile. I tend to get a little bored seeing the same environments, special effects / music, so I don't mind swapping games to keep my interest. |
