One solution is to have a slider with a set of radio buttons beside it. That way you could modify whether the game showed you the top half, bottom half, or just a sum total of half as many dead babies.

I'll be honest, in my opinion PoE is kinda tame.
Its no way near as dark/brutal as it could/should be.

and although I can see the (valid) perspective of those wanting aspects toned down, I personally want the shock factor turned up.

more blood, more gore, more dead people of all ages.

Honestly people need to first ask themselves how to explain to an adolescent why half naked hairy men are trying to bash their skull in with blunt objects.
Then just realize they shouldn't try to, and keep E/T/M material matching the correct mental ages.

got to smile about the irony that it is only due to germanys harsh censorship that i had to learn the english language in the first place.

and also at a comparable young age =) where school failed to teach me, movies and games did a great job.

one does like to unterstand whats going on onscreen after all, even if it´s just a b-picture horror flick or ego-shooter :)

nevertheless, thanks a bunch. i hope to improve even further

considering the topic, as long as it supports the atmosphere and isn´t just put in for it´s own sake, i´d say anything goes. it´s an adult game after all.

I prefer to call it satire, as I wasn't actually attempting to illicit an emotional response (which is the goal of 'trolling,' I believe - that and catching fish), but I wasn't serious in my comment, if that's what you mean.

I got a kid who is 2 Years old, dead babies and blood in games is probably the least of my worries/cares...

1st of all, I want to say that I understand why some people don't like excessive violence and gore, even if it's fake. The ideal solution would be an option to toggle gore on/off, just in case.

Secondly, why play in front of your kid/children? You want to protect your child, then do so. It doesn't matter if your kid wants to see you play; you're the parent, you decide what's good for him/her.

Thirdly, I never understood why people are so edgy about violence against children in video games. Let's take PoE as an example. The whole game is just 1 big violent "playground". Just as you bash the skulls off some scavengers, which are living, adult humans, you could easily do the same to a child mob. Violence is violence, no matter the age and/or species for that matter. So I don't see the big deal concerning a barely visible pixel baby. Some children, in real life, suffer way more than they would in a game. So in conclusion, I still don't get the fuss over pixel kids being shown in violent circumstances.

Conclusion: your children will learn more about violence, and other horrors, from the real world; the fucked up world we live in. So I wouldn't be concerned about video games.

Personally, I'd like the game to be even more violent, gory, fucked up, perverted, etc. The violent the game, the more steam I blow off.

Then why do you let you'r kid play slice and dice games?
