"Deepest Item System In Any Action RPG" RLY?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=NDFO4E5OKSE#t=92s
- stack elemental dmg, life, resists and maybe ES and you are winner - no real gear stats customization like in D2 (runes, jewels, gems), TQ (monster parts, charms), Torchlight 1/2 (enchanting and sosketing), Sacred (socketing) - half of affixes that D2LOD/TQIT has (i bet there si less than Vanilla D2 have but i may be wrong here) - 1/4 of affixes that community mods for this games has - almost no CtC affixes, especially on nonunique items (this alone makes MedianXl itemization far superior) - 4 item tiers/types (TQ - 6, D2LOD - 6 or 7) - No Item Sets - nor visual or stat-wise (yea, yea.. they are bad - BULLSHIT - collecting them is awesome in D2LOD and TQ) - almost zero items for collecting that are no weapons/armors - no things like TQ artifacts or spell scrolls, D2 runes or charms, etc... in poe you only collect currency AKA gold. - all upgrades and item progress is heavily influenced by, gated and biased towards punishing RNG that is not the case in other HNS games - i bet if i will spend more time thinking i can make more points. So my question to developers... RLY? And have you any plans to make this "deepest system" real deep anytime soon? Last edited by Foreverhappychan#4626 on Mar 19, 2013, 3:33:28 AM

Your concept of the game is shallow. You are trying to compare an open beta game to fully released games that in some cases had many patches and even expansions beyond that.
GGG is heading in a direction, they have not met their destination. Once they do, you may find that any number of games suits you better. I doubt they will feel the same way. I hope they don't feel the same way. |

And they still make this claim in trailer? Because trailer says exacly taht its the deepest itemization ever created you know?
And that why im asking if they have desire to make the system really deep. Because atm is not deep at all even compared to games that are 10 years old. And i wish this game weel and i think that item system need to be spiced up because is a little boring atm (not even mention 'deepest ever created'). But thx for being a fanboy and for knowing what they are thinking and where thwy are heading - are you god or smth? PLZ focus on topic and not of commenting my person, my taste and my 'concept of the game' (whatever this means). Last edited by KarraKurri#7943 on Mar 18, 2013, 6:30:58 AM

" Well I have yet to see an ARPG that lets you customize/change your Items like PoE with the Orbs. What is your take on that? “Demons run when a good man goes to war"

D2 horadric cube. And each other HNS GAMBLING. Because its nothing more like GAMBLING.
Something that in D2/Torchlight have one window of vendor interface in Poe is main game feature and time and currency sink that is REQUIRED to progress. Also each other HsN game has REAL CUSTOMIZATION system, that is not random. And i as a player (not RNG) have real influence on my gear and what stats i will add etc.. In PoE i have not and there is no such system. Agfain... were is this deep item system? Last edited by KarraKurri#7943 on Mar 18, 2013, 6:35:31 AM

" Its not about customize/change. Its just gamble. I think the same mr.OP. I don't get why they name gambling as crafting. Crafting: you got 1 wood,1 steel = 1 sword. Path of Exile > Diablo II > TorchLight 2 > Diablo I > Hello Kitty Online > Diablo III Last edited by DarkRay#4156 on Mar 18, 2013, 6:39:42 AM

" You ask a question so you got the answer. Im free person and i know that i can quit end play ther games.. you dont need to remind me. :) Actually i plan to take a break from PoE after 1.0.5 patch if it will fail to deliver meele balance and play some Synergies Torchlight 2 Mod (its awesome btw - i recommend it. Its awesome what one person (this Salan guy - creator of the mod) with good design skills can achieve... im watching at you now BrotherLaz!). This thread is just about asking devs about GENERAL future of item system and i simply ask if something more that '3 more OP uniques per week' is planned. BEcause even with that the item system in POE is far from 'deepest". Im inclined to name it preety shallow. Last edited by KarraKurri#7943 on Mar 18, 2013, 6:52:00 AM

A deep itemization system is not determined by what stats are useful for YOU, but what stats are useful in GENERAL.
The differene between diablo 3 and PoE are obvious. In Diablo 3, everyone has HP, resists, armor and evasion; there is no way around them for defense. In Path of Exile, everyone has HP, resists, armor, evasion and energy shield; that is 1 more then diablo 3 and you have many ways to go around these stats. For example, in Path of Exile there is Chaos Inoculation: you health = 1 and you rely solely on energy shield, evasion and block for defense. This means you can limit your "good" items to all those that do NOT give health, opening a slot for a affix. In Diablo 3, everyone, regardless of build, is forced to get high health, armor and resistances or you cant play at high difficulties. This is just armor items. In general, PoE has a lot MORE useful affixes then in Diablo 3. One thing that Path of Exile is lacking, is the ability to transfer stats to a different item, only changing the appearance (only for blue/yellow ofc). That way, you could make your own armor set. Youre also judging a BETA. The game isnt out yet and you complain about stuff they add weekly. |
