Crashes, 5700 XT AMD Issue?

it is the only way. if you stopped collecting the organs you just dont play the league mechanic which is a big feature for many. So to play the league with all mechanics you need to use the workaround.


I'm playing the league normally in the endgame... I said that I stopped picking the fragments in my leveling process, until ACT 10.. BUT a friend of mine, with another 5700XT PICKED EVERYTHING in the same leveling process, he had a couple crash in the Riverways and that was it... everything smooth until today, so, YES, there is a problem because is a general error probably we all got in the same area, and yes, it seems that is related to DX11, so, let's wait to see how GGG handles this, AND YES.. I'm in the same boat as all the AMD GPU users, we are afraid to have more problems and frustrated with the "silence" on this.

That is definitely my hope as well. Not meaning to be overly negative. I love the game and the new atlas stuff has been amazing. The announcement of auto pickup just added a new level of panic. I have not messed with the league mechanic normally since the last crash while leveling, it just doesn't feel worth the risk. Here's hoping for a speedy resolution.

Do you realize you just quoted 3 day old post and he was talking about the potential fix in 3.9.0b which is obviously not working for us and caused the mayhem you see here ? :)
in AMD settings > Applications > Pathofexile:

Toggle SHADER CACHE to 'off'

Toggle TESSELATION MODE to 'Use Application Settings'.

I stopped crashing when Tane spawned - even outside.

Tried this, game still crashes at fight with Kuduku. This time after picking up his brain.

One thing I can tell you ( i just remembered ), the problem seems localized in certain places also in the endgame BUT very specific when u need to summon Octavious (in the endgame he does not summon automatic ), for example, I had a crash yesterday in the Gardens map, and my friend had another crash in the Courtyard one I think, other than that, no problems with the mechanic in maps, what is very interesting is that these maps have a lot of stuff, like "plants" , "trees" , a lot of nature things.... JUST LIKE The Riverways or ACT 2 in general ( outside of the in-door zones where I have not experienced any crash ).

Continuously crashing on R9 280X on Tane spawn, around 1 out 10 it will happens.

(╯°□°)╯︵ ┻━┻ I never crashed this much since 2013... At worst 3 crash per league, now is 3 crash per hour!

Don't think it's driver issue. I was running pretty dang old 12.7 something at the first few days of league, had the same crash problem. Upgraded to latest still same.

If they can't fix this crash they might as well spawn Tane as a CARDBOARD BOX with no effects goat-dammit LOL...

Attempted this at a black screen -- did not work.
was in windowed Mode - with Shader Cashe set to off, and Tessellation Mode on Application settings.


Had to hard restart again .. just by summoning Tane -

Guess its just a matter of waiting till GGG gets some kinda idea of what it is.. and fixes it..
