Did the PoE 4.0 announcement meet your expectation?
" it adapted for 2019 standards, who can say it won't adapt for 2039 standards? by that time it might be World of Exile :) Last edited by BlackPulsar#5393 on Nov 17, 2019, 7:28:59 AM

I do like all the changes , 19 new ascendancy's will give me alot to play around with .
I have played all poe's leagues except the last one , it didn't interest me in the slightest , even though im a big fan of towerdefense games. Poe2 has me more hyped then diablo 4 for sure diablo 4 has me in suspense if they can actually do something with it , as of now it looks more or less like diablo 3. But thats also the issue with Poe 2 or 4.0 or whatever you want to call it , its the same level until maps and then maps. Don't get me wrong , im looking forward for 3.9 , new bosses , new ways to play maps ... but its still maps with more maps , and maps , some variant of map and then more maps. All the sidecontent we get is still map until resource until do content , its not another endgame , the best so far imo was delve or synthesis which actually let me play another "endgame" for quite a while after collecting the stuff. So even though i am looking forward to Poe 2/4.0 , im not as hyped as i would have been with some new endgamecontent which is not a variant which i have seen for 6 years already. |

PoE 2 has me so excited. It exceeded my exceptions.

"maybe mps could turn in something like dungeons in the future making each map very different in drops and gameplay from other ones. one map being delve for example another map being blight another map being breech allowing you to farm a specific thing, like removing splinters and placing a chayula breach map on the atlass... all unique maps representing a specific league? like having 6 portals in delve and going as deep as 6000 Sulphite allows?(ofc remembering the progress) :) Last edited by BlackPulsar#5393 on Nov 17, 2019, 8:11:56 AM

" Addressing game issues is something GGG can do regardless of game version. Main point of any expasion is huge amount of content that is added at once, something that cannot be done in parts because then it wouldn't make sense. I was hoping for something big regarding endgame. Perhaps alternative to maps or story beyond Elder. What i've got is once again campaign i don't care about. Acts are something I have to do not something I want to do. |

given that its not even out yet, then so far yes. more impressed than the six new acts with 3.0 (which i might add imo still needs love and a bit lackluster). they're pretty much remaking the game. new campaign, new ascendancies. they haven't shown us everything for it yet. im pretty sure they still have some surprises left for us.

To answer the OP's question: It did not.
Don't get me wrong, it looks quite good and I will 100% play it! But it just happens that I had definite expectations for this, and they were not met. To name a few: screen clutter (skill effects) and rainbow lights. The clownish state of the game in regards of "colorful clutter" is too much for me, was looking forward to at least an option to turn of the fireworks! (I play the game by looking at the top right mini map, cause the constant flashing lights that clutter the whole screen triggers my migraines). The other giant clutter (loot explosion!). Trade: was looking for something like what chinaPOE and consolePOE has, but just for consumables and, maybe, uniques. Rares is ok the way it is now. TBH this one is not a big deal, but it would have been nice. But taking that aside, it was a nice surprise, wasn't expecting a whole new campaign and 19 new ascendancy classes! Can't wait to see what they do with the skill tree and how both campaigns will integrate in the endgame! Last edited by mc29654363#6311 on Nov 17, 2019, 8:14:36 AM

With POE I am spoiled. Chris and company are gaming gods to me. POE is almost the best game of all time for me as of now. I'm throwing my wallet (whatever that's left in there) on the screen. They could announce that POE2 is POE 3.1x but now black and white and I'd probably still going to play this game. I'm not hyped, not a bit, I know it's going to be good and exceed whatever expectations I had. Filthy Casual Scrub.
