Did the PoE 4.0 announcement meet your expectation?

Partially, i think it was a good reveal, with some potential, but it didn't address the main thinks i would hope they improve (there is still time, so i'm hopefully optimistic)

-Trade: I would love some QoL here, too much time wasted in the current implementation
-Crafting vs drops: Would love if drops would be the better loot, and crafting a good choice, but not the best. I like the crafting system, but i think its so strong we don't even pick up rares anymore.
For me POE 2 is just a graphic upgrade, anything else, like remove 6 link is meh. A bit disappointed honestly but they only reveal few things so I am so looking forward to further information.

3.9 is great thought!
I dunno POE 2 looks way more like diablo than it actually should. Also makes question whether it's a real step forward from POE or just a fresh clone for attracting new gamers.

P.S. Lol they pass through all mtx if i read correctly, dat would be interesting to see.

The new engine was great, happy to know poe will look more like a 2020 game than a 2000 game pretty soon. About all the other stuff: Dunno, too far away and a lot of stuff will change over time most likely again anyways.

They talked with Chris about the Declutter system which will reduce the amount of rare drops. But the rares you do find will more likely be less crap. From what i understand.

In PoE 2 pretty much all base items where new. So my guess stuff will be quite different.
So a bit unfair to just say its only a graphic upgrade. The entire gem rework will mean more use of different skills. So think there will be less about just using one single attack skill.
Why are people saying "the new engine" There is no new engine. Just adjustments done to the current one.

How do you feel about PoE 2 so far, comparing it to past mega-expansions?
Did it meet or succeed your expectations, did it surprise you?
Do you think PoE 2 will continue to dominate the ARPG market?

Those must be rhetorical questions, right???

They COMPLETELY ANNIHILATED ALL POSSIBLE COMPETITION with that announcement!!!

Yes besides the new campain that is, otherwise it was exactly what i expected would happen(maybe not in specifics but more in the general direction the game is going).

Once men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them

Yes I am definitely hyped about 4.0. Let me give you an example. The new gem system opens up so much potential for non-meta builds such as unleash spell builds and staff builds. Right now the best I could have ever done is to do double 5-link and a 4-link on shaped gloves or helmet, but this new system allows me to just go 3 or even 4 6-link unleash gems easily. You will also be able to get so much more interesting setup with the additional sockets. The new asc will open up even more potential, bringing the entire meta into a whole new level with almost another dimension of diversity.

Don't you feel that the game is getting slower from the demo? I also remember that Chris once said GGG plans to address the "too much shit loot drop" problem with patch 4.0. If this game manages to slow down and improve loot drops, POE will be at the level of Diablo 4.5, or even D5 seriously.
Listening to Chris and all the dev interviews it just reinforces why I support this game.

They really know their game properly and what the community input is. There is a legitimate passion and they won't bend or water down in order to try grab cheap and easy players.

They have a game, it became popular and they are sticking to what made the game popular.

It's embarrassing when you listen to other dev interviews for other ARPGs. The lack of information, all the buzzword responses. Just like they were hired last week.
