No Fun Allowed: Reflect Maps

Just re-roll it.

If it's corrupted... you cannot. And red-tier maps, GGG wants you to run them rare/corrupted.

It sucks when you roll/corrupt the one and only T16 you have found, and it throws a mod you cannot run.

The drop rate of T16's is already arguably a slap in the face. It's just adding insult to injury when you finally find one and then cannot run it.
I mean I dont like that kind of reflect, exspecially the elemental kind, because you cannot counter if, by simply converting your physical damage to elemental like you can with physical reflect.

I think the old reflect on mobs was fine, mapwide reflect basically just means you cannot do that map, there is no counterplay for you, you can't be careful you simply kill yourself with one or two hits.

With current amounts of damage even non-damage builds simply kill themself with movement skills. My Summoners get heavily injured in an ele-reflect maps when I use frostblink and he dies in a physical reflect map if I use Shieldcharge.

Reflect does have its place, but not in its current form. Just imagine replacing the map wide reflect with a mirror tempest, that randomly buffs enemies with reflect for a short duration. In this case you can outplay reflect and the mod will still be annoying enough that having reflect disables in your build is worth it.

I could agree with an "on / off" reflect aura for mobs. That's present in Grim Dawn and it makes reflect a challenge to manage, rather than a death sentence.

For me, this means reflect in Grim Dawn is a welcome addition to the game (ie: creates challenge, but with good play you can manage it), while in POE it is not welcome (either you can completely avoid it or it's a death sentence).
Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes?
