Scammed out of 16.3 Exalted Orbs. I feel sick. This has ruined my day.
Was doing summit today. Got that mitts card. Someone whispered to buy my 100c taming card. I went to town, picked it up and clicked on trade. Except I put the mitts card there, ops. Corrected it fast but he probably thought I was trying to scam even though it was a genuine mistake :/

" Exactly. I have zero sympathy for anyone that gets scammed. FYI potential easy victims: LET THEM HIT ACCEPT FIRST! Then they are locked into whatever they put into the window, and if they swap it out then it's not green anymore. A little common sense goes a long way. |

They really should change "accept" to "accept the likelihood that if you're not carefully checking the contents of the trade you are going to be scammed" all on the button.

I had someone attempt to scam me yesterday on a 15c trade but you don't see me crying on the forums. You just have to be smart.
When you hover over their items and they are correct, don't immediately hit accept, wait a few seconds because these potential scammers are trying to time it exactly to after you hover and accept. Some like to remove a stack of currency in that time hoping you won't see it. Like I said above, a little common sense goes a long way. |

" I could understand that you could make a mistake from time to time doing high volume trading, but you made this mistake on the the only trade that actually mattered to you, which is a bizarre time to throw caution to the wind considering that you were putting up all your currency. GGG put the "must check item before clicking accept" system into place to combat this exact scenario. It certainly sucks for you, but GGG is not going to get involved and give you back items that you agreed to trade to another player. Every player that decided after the fact that they got a bad deal would expect this exact same treatment if this was GGG's policy. Caveat emptor. |

I feel bad for the OP for what happened , luckily its not real money/stuff that can make his life at stake.
But in the other hand I also feel bad because a lot of people seem to lessen the gravity of the act of scamming because it is a game but no matter what currency you use scamming is a criminal behavior and should not be tolerated. I would say that is like saying a girl get raped because the way she dress, it putting the burden on the victim while the culpride is the perpetrator and that is disgusting. But only GGG can do anything and they dont o_O. |

Maybe some coder could come up with a way to impute scammers into a program for it to flag if your trading some one on that list.
if some one created a specific subreddit for scammers and it would requier evidence the mods of that reddit could add there names to that system and the only way they could get of that system was to pay back that person what they scammed. This type of system could be abused and ruin some ones rep if not in the hands of some one reliable so it could be a double edged sword |
