Scammed out of 16.3 Exalted Orbs. I feel sick. This has ruined my day.
" word sadly I feel like this is what some people are really like. When living in the real world the experience of being face to face with real humans shames them into acting like a proper human being capable of having empathy, self respect, some kind moral mental framework, but really its just an act and beneath it all theyre just a completely calculated sociopathic arseholes. The internet just frees them to be themselves. the way to deal with this and stop feeling sick to your stomach: think about the kind of person who would do this. now think about all the people in your life who think youre a great person, all the people who like you, respect you, all the people who love you. if any of them really knew this person, the sort of person who would scam someone like this, they would be disgusted by them. Every meaningful human relationship you have in your life, the things that really matter, how you see those people and how they see you, the genuine feelings you have between you. thats you, and you lost 16 exalts, some pixels, 16 hours. the guy who has your exalts, he has to live his entire life being that guy. hes probably in some bubble where he doesnt care, he doesnt really care about other people so why should he care if other people really care about him? Would you trade getting your 16 exalts back + 16 of his exalts if you had to also live the rest of your life being him? of course you wouldnt. chin up mate, just zoom out, look at the bigger picture, it sucks but its really not worth feeling upset about. Just laugh it off and carry on with your day. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)

Scamming is getting out of hands, trade is not even the most common violation here.
All those 'services' people provide, every day I see someone shouting in global that person 'x' scammer 3-5 ppl out of a few exalts for a 'service' that he was supposed to provide or for the non existent unique strongbox he was supposed to have, etc... It's getting really silly that GGG ain't doing anything about it. I mean when there is proof and a FEW people report the same thing, why not act GGG? why? A couple of years ago I got scammed in a similar manner and after a few days of emailing to support they replied that they can't do anything but they are building some kind of account 'profiles'. Who cares about those profiles if the person that was robbed is not getting his stuff back? Last edited by lolerman#1964 on Jul 2, 2019, 3:43:32 AM

God this is starting to look like a copypasta. We just had a thread about a week ago with the same (barring the currency) title and OP post content.

" This is some good stuff, well said. Just be happy you're not like him, his real life is probably filled with people who are disgusted by him for who he is. Doing something like this says a lot about him. |

If you had spent 1/118 of the energy you spent writing up this post on the actual trade you wouldn't have had to make this post. Sorry you got scammed, but this is totally on you.

" The sad thing is: "I'm anonymous. It's the internet. Dignity, politeness, manners and decency do not apply here. It's only a game". Even Roy Keane can't talk sense into people like that. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that these threads actually encourage the scammers. They see them and say... hey! It works! I'll give that a try too!
They certainly don't seem to be helping people be more careful. Or maybe that's the point. Maybe they're just scammers posting stuff like this so that people think it's normal. Hard to tell. |
