Sad that there are lots of people, who don't understand, that game companies do not care about their needs. They care only about money, and see meeting costumers need only as a way to get money from them.

You have a very pessimistic view on the world if you believe that. There's obviously a part of it that's about money, it's a business venture to create and host an ever growing community and game in perpetual development. That doesn't mean there's not another side to the coin.

Name a company that would guide its decision making by something else but maximizing profits?

Don't be silly. Plenty of companies are all about making their customers happy while maintaining a healthy profit. They may not be billion dollar companies with investors but they do exist.
