OPTION TO HIDE MTX ON OTHER PLAYERS
" Let me make this Absolutely clear for you, If i payed for anything in any game i expect that developer to care about my opinion just as much as they care about YOUR opinion on the topic. What if it required the people in the party to vote and everyone had to /accept for the mtx being turned off, would you be against that? I'm seriously curious if theres any possible way this could be implimented that you would not fight against? So please in the spirit of cooperation just as i've bumped your thread on guilds and spread the word of your thread to others to try to bring like-minded people together, If you could constructively answer the above question i'd really be interested to read it. Innocence forgives you

" That's where true happiness is found. Carry on my waypoint son, there'll be peace when maps are done. Lay your portal gem to rest, don't you die no more. I would like to see the possibility to disable hideout decorations on trade league. It starts to get a bit over the top the amount of fps i loose whenever i enter certain hideouts.

" You are like a kid,stuck on an endless loop about hdds and bad hardware. The fact remains that no one cares about your MTX, you bought it for yourself,not for others to see it. If others don't want to see it,they should have the option not to get eye cancer. What you do in your little world,is your problem, if you want to have rainbow effects, go ahead. The problem arises when you inflict your rainbow effects on others. Last edited by Nosferat#4431 on Jul 1, 2019, 9:48:00 AM

I dont think you quite understand whats at stake here. This is the entire reason of game being free to play ^^ w/o microtransactions there would be no poe ^^
Mtx sales means supporting the game. By supporting this idea you are simply asking ggg lose all the support. People come up with pretty bad ideas recently. This thread should ve been closed in the first page because there is one place ggg will not cater to empty crowds, mtx sales. Anyway you can complain about this all day long and it will never be changed. Gl arguing for no reason or just to be a contrarian. Im done with this thread ^^ Trust your mind and strengthen your abilities!

@OP
I predominantly buy MTX for myself because I spend very little time in towns and almost no time in parties-mostly for trading. I was avoiding buying visual MTXs for a long time but eventually decided to spend some money on supporter packs, which came with their MTX. I also got some sets from old challenge league as a reward. I do not care what MTX others have equipped but I fully recognize that seeing other's MTXs is one way how GGG can make money--people seeing something they like are surely more prone to drop some $ in MTX shop than someone who only see generic 2D or 3D art coming with vanilla game. My suggestion would be to allow players to reduce or completely turn off skill effects & their particles to improve game performance. This would only apply to party members other than player itself outside of towns but should still help with performance issues. |

I kinda like how my other favorite free game handles it - Guild Wars 2
There is an option to have high res effects only on my own character and dump the quality of others. I like it. It gives me artificial sense of satisfaction that I shine more than others. Since I tend to play solo and visit town only when i need to, any other change than dumping the quality of animations for other characters that are not me seems like a waste, but i sense MrsDeath_ is correct on this one - having other people with their shiny characters in town motivates others to buy points and spend points. " What is at stake here? Come on man,this isn't person of interest or some other tv series,we aren't talking about a dirty bomb in Manhattan to talk about "Stakes". There are a lot of other free to play games out there,not just POE. In a lot of them the visuals can be for your side only, if you want to disable them,you have the option, or you can install third party software,actually supported by the company that allows you to disable them. It's not an issue about hardware, but personal preference. Some like flashy effects,some do not. Let people buy all the MTX they want, buy them all, no one cares,no one should. But the MTX is for you and you alone, not for everyone else, if someone wants to see your effects,they should have the option to enable,if they do not, they should have the option to disable. It's actually that simple. They gain nothing by annoying people who do not want to see flashy colours on their screen, it even sounds counterintuitive from a business perspective,especially for those who joined poe for the dark and gritty atmosphere,then they see people in tripple rainbow colours. That won't discourage them from playing, would it? Last edited by Nosferat#4431 on Jul 1, 2019, 12:02:04 PM

All of this talk is pointless they would never ever put an option to do that from a business point of view that's a lot of money gone.

Just wait until some other normal ARPG games will com up online, and GGG will do anything.
Sad that there are lots of people, who don't understand, that game companies do not care about their needs. They care only about money, and see meeting costumers need only as a way to get money from them. So let them start loosing money, and magic will start happening. |
