EXP LOSS POLL

There does have to be a penalty for dying though but this game penalizes you 3 fold, you have to walk back to your death spot, you lose an entry portal AND you lose hours of progress which in this game can be lots of currency wasted at high levels. Your not gonna go from 98-99 in low tier maps unrolled ect.

But honestly this shouldnt be at the top of the to-do list for the company, they should prioritize stabilizing their servers, fixing the incredibly broken trade system before doing anything including IMO releasing more content.

lolz @ calling that "3 fold" when the first 2 are so amazingly trivial.

oh, noes - a portal and the 2-12 seconds it takes to walk back!? THE HORROR. seriously, it's laughable to call either of these a penalty, let alone both.

also, huh??? at yellow. what currency? how does dying cost one "progress which can be lots of currency?"

Yes no need for Xp loss in normal soft-core play

Do you think Exp Loss on death should not be allowed in existance cause it's the most stupid thing that can exist ?

1. Yes
2. Why even ask ?

No. Level 100 characters are a status symbol and prove above all else that you know how to play the game and make characters that can actually beat the levelling process.

Learn to make better characters, then you won't care about EXP loss. Keep in mind every single league countless level 100 characters appear in hardcore.
I have to agree that removing the penalty is a mistake, Almost every build i make can reach 90-95 pretty easily but when one can't almost 100% of the time its a fault in my build or equipment.

I've had builds with 1500 hp reach 90 before and had builds with 7000 hp struggle to get past 90 its definitely a learning experience and it can really crush you to spend that much time to have to start over or spend a sizeable amount of regrets to respec.

The moment you reach 100 for the first time its a huge accomplishment and removing that final stretch of the grind would hurt the game a great deal.

Some recent content such as Betrayal with its (intervention) and some other content has pushed a lot of users due to performance issues mostly to jump onto this topic because they are dying more often to what people consider Lag(which is not lag but performance issues)

If i were to say what the Largest contributing reason to the existence of this thread is, it would be the lack of pre-loading ceartain content like the game used to do with ALL content pretty much, If it were already loaded then the screen lock would be less likely to happen and result in a lot less deaths and anger towards the exp loss would be redirected properly back at the player as it should be.
Innocence forgives you

lolz @ playing the easiest iteration of poe and still complaining about the xp penalty/dying enough to warrant this, despite the power creep that's trivialized the entire game to the point where vets post here instead of playing.

Let's screw any kind of consistency, just because QQ QQ QQ, right ?

The latest levels are supposed to be harder to reach, the game won't hold your hand the closer you get to there.
SSF is not and will never be a standard for balance, it is not for people entitled to getting more without trading.

Hell, no!

Level 100 character might have been some sort of symbol back in 2014 or 15 but it means nothing now. All it shows is anyone behind lvl100 character has too much free time on their hand.

There is no difference between playing lvl95 and 99 character. All that it is required is huge amount of time and ability to do the same content over and over and over and over.

Betrayal made reaching lvl100 a joke due to how overtuned enriched breachstones were and how easily they were available. There is 5-way battle available in Legion that can provide crazy exeperience gain as long as you are willing to pay for Headhunter carry. I saw it yesterday on Twitch where one streamer got nearly 60% of lvl92 in those 5 minutes while running around the center like a headless chicken.

PoE will eventually kill you, that is the nature of the game. Even most sturdy characters can die when all stars align. Obviously, multi-layered defenses will serve you better in high level content but ultimately it is more about player's mindset and how they approach common situations.
