RMT site bought that currency rate site

If you see how he started the post you can see he's feeling a bit insecure about his cash flow.

This is generally false with some exceptions. Prices are 'reasonable' because if they overcharge too much eventually someone is going to come in and undercut them

Indeed. And this goes for both real world markets and our player-driven one. It's not laws that regular prices in Wraeclast: it's business sense.

As far as i know. I use the vendors as a benchmark for the general currencies.

I was talking about his $1,000 Diamond Supporter title. That is another issue I won't even delve in to. Albeit to say if I was a multi-millionaire I wouldn't give $1,000 for a title and an item.

Yeah I tried this when I wanted to buy some Scrolls of Wisdom. You know 7 scrolls = 1 portal and up and up. It came out to literally 1 alt should buy like 264 scrolls or something like that. Of course no one is going to sell you that many for an alt. However, the same in game system is a bit broken when going in reverse. What I mean is that if you buy up from a vendor it would cost you that many scrolls to get an alt, however if you sell alts back to the vendor you only get 8 scrolls per alt. so for a stack of 20 you'd only get 160 wisdoms. I just use trans orbs. 40 for 160 and I get tons a day.

Ahh, yes. The Streisand Effect, or in layman's terms, curiosity and mystery causes a greater influx than what is behind the mystery & what drives the curiosity.

I do not disagree with how RMT is being handled, I agree wholeheartedly, but like porn on the internet and children, you can only do so much to prevent as much aftermath damage as you realistically can.

I may well be misremembering so please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the wiki once run an RMT ad too? The site in question (gawd this feels like North Korea) took down the rmt ads immediately. They only came back when the dude sold it after pressure from people like you.
