RMT site bought that currency rate site

Personal insults are going to get this thread locked fast.

There's nothing wrong with people using the site as a reference if they want to. The fact that it advertises RMT sites is the problem and why it can't be mentioned here on the forums.

It's true that there's nothing GGG can do to stop RMT sites but that doesn't mean they need to be tolerated here on GGG's official forums.

Again, the rmt thing was very very brief, and I'm still waiting for someone to correct me when I say that the wiki also had an rmt ad at one point.

He took the rmt ad down very quickly, just like they did with the wiki, but because of the way he and his site were demonized, it now belongs to someone who will use it for nothing but rmt ads.

Way to make a mountain out of a molehill.

Your initial comments towards him were unjustified and aimed purely at provoking him. He was making a perfectly valid point - the site served as a reference for people who needed it, and was easily ignored by people who didn't. It didn't harm you or anyone else. It very briefly had an rmt ad (like I said, I think the wiki did too at one point and I don't see anyone going off about that), but it was taken down. Now, because of all the nasty hatred, it's going to house pure rmt ads for the rest of its life.

How can you accuse him of supporting rmt, when it's because of people like you that rmt is now all that the site promotes?

At first glance, you may come down with that impression, but I'm here with my own reason, just like anyone else. I'm a man of perspective, so when I see LoliDesu calling out GGG without a real argument, I'm going to address it with initimidation and reason. It's the same volume as looking at someone eye to eye, and asking them to be serious about this. I'm not here to flame or get a rise out of anyone. I'm here to draw the flames and to address them accordingly.

Because your argument is wrong. I don't support RMT and even if I did, you can't ban people for thoughtcrime. There's also nothing stating I can't greentext and I don't care if you don't like it. Lastly, calling out GGG for censoring is a sensible opinion which I am entitled to. I don't know or care what your personal thoughts are on this, but please refrain from mindless flaming.

That's a fair stance. So you do not support RMT, I see that now. At first, you made it difficult because you didn't exactly write an argument. You complained and harped GGG, thus I responded to you the way I did. Calling out GGG for censoring without an explanation is one thing, and calling them out for censoring with an explanation is another.

I feel that GGG shouldn't censor websites, just like the government shouldn't.
Okay I'm lost

Since the name and every mention of this site is censored....I have no idea what actual site you guys are talking about!! wtf?

...wait...is it the one with the "table" of currencies and the currency exchanges everybody used to search for? Or is it another one?
Why do RMT sites even exist?

Don't GGG have the legal power to take them down? Isn't there a clause in the Terms of Services that say something like "You can't use a 3rd party thing to use real money on the game" or stuff like that?

Or is it somewhat like piracy (e.g megaupload), where the "criminals" are technically the users and not the site, thus the site can still be operational?

What I say is practically and personally sensible. Sometimes you have to understand that I see through other people's eyes, and so if you do not see yourself in them, you will not see what I see in them.

In this case, LoliDesu is being personally conflicted by how GGG is approaching RMT, and "the site" that hosted RMT ads. Resorting to green text and non-constructively calling out GGG is equivalent to a child throwing a tantrum that doesn't get what they want. I'm hoping that LoliDesu could give us more than a tantrum.

With an update, LoliDesu is now being constructive.

Nonsense you aren't that special so don't act like you're qualified to make unsound arguments just because of your super special text empathy.

It's a slippery slope, that's for sure. The way I personally see how this should be handled, is by understanding that we live in a consequential world above all means. We have to make decisions within this distortion, as we are still theroetically living and building our own reality and sensibility. I agree with GGG, as any parent who does their best to keep their child out of harms way. GGG worked hard to keep their project out of harms way. I commend them for this. They actually have a human persona that is built inside their project that makes it a thousand times more genuine than any other monetary project otherwise industrial.

Sure, GGG may make emotional mistakes, but if you really want to know what I think, I think GGG's heart is in the right place, and we do not need third-rate sites to make an economy work. If one person can build an economy, a group can build an economy.

I think this thread should be closed. Although no sites are mentioned by name, surely people know which site you are talking about. As a result, this topic is giving extra attention to the RMT shop that now owns the website.
