RMT site bought that currency rate site
" This. People are going to wonder what everyone is talking about - How do they find out? Visiting the site themselves. |

I had no problems with the currency rate site prior to being sold. It was a good benchmark albeit imperfect. Now, however, any fluctuations in the trading ratios are subject to intense scrutiny and possible economic manipulation and therefore one should use their rates with a grain of salt. I am not saying anyone should totally call the rates bogus at this point but it may very well go that way. I clicked on the ad there to get a reference on what they sell things for and it will be interesting to see how that changes over time. Now that they control the currency rates, they can justify their pricing by simply adjusting the ratios. In my head, the ratios will permanently be:
1 exalted = 2 divine = 5 gcp = 10 regal = 15 chaos = 30 fusing = 30 alchemy = 30 scouring = 120 chance = 120 jewellers = 240 alterations = 300 chromatics Last edited by Inkarnit#3780 on Mar 13, 2013, 5:48:47 PM

I've always wondered why Chance and Fusings were a 1:1 ratio. It has been like that for a while. I'd love to trade all my chances straight up for fusings.

I can't understand why people hate the site so much (before RMT stuff) First thing that you can read on the site is:
" I guess only the people who are trying to scam other people are the most actively against the site. Just last night when I tried to buy a reduced mana cost gem, first one offering one asked for 1 exalt and 2 gcp :D Same people, I bet, are trying to scam with currency to currency trades. One calls it banter, I call it scamming. I mean, in real world you have exchange rates for different currencies, euro to dollar and so on. While we have that reference you could still ask 10 more dollars for the item you are selling and people could pay you because they need that item right there and then. I often pay little extra just to get items I want faster/instantly. It doesn't matter if there is a reference so that people can make educated estimates on prices, it's still about demand/need. It would be nice GGG managed to get a monopoly on RMT sites.
It would be great, charge ludicrous amounts of money for items and the like, and after the money is processed, delete the account. 1000 USD for a mirror? Sure. Also your account is gone. Good luck with that. Should've been a diamond supporter instead. Bullshit, you get the game for free.

" lol yep, if the mods were smart they would just delete threads about the topic...everybody checks out locked threads to see what its all about also does anyone think this guy didn't actually "sell" the site but is just saying that so he can throw the RMT adds back up to make money and won't get flamed/hatemail, ect |
