That's not true. It sold well consistently not just at the start, especially with Reaper of Souls.

Again I get that it's cool to hate on Blizz and D3, but the FACT remains the game was very good, improved over the years, and was a success by many measures.

Yeah, they royally screwed that game from the get go, it improved alot from the expansion, but it could not fix the short comings it had on so many levels. Then they screwed themselves by not making more expansions. Now all we can do is wait and hope they don't have the same level idiots designing 4.

Isn't D3 quite infamous for over highest at time of release pc pre-orders. They even packaged pre orders with wow subs to boost that higher. Then huge fan back lash. Full year with zero pvp that never got fully realised. That's not even going on about there complete lack of build investment. And 5 console ports =.=

I can't believe you guys talking about PoE's crafting like it is a good thing, it is the worst and here is why:

After about level 30, no item that drops is ever ready for use (I exaggerate obviously). Every thing that drops will need some tweaking to work, because there are two rolls, one for mods on an item, the other is for it's gems. Most experienced players (Like Myself) just rush quickly through the acts in a way that almost feels like skipping the game because the whole (loot) part of the Arpg is a time trap that makes reaching better loot slower.

I believe PoE is better than D3, of course I do, I played for thousands of hours, and never the same build twice, I love that part of the game.

I played Grim Dawn for about 100 hours, I believe it is the best Arpg between D3 and PoE, specifically because it, as a game, knew when to let me know, that I should let it go. I will forever remember it as the Arpg that I loved for it's entire (brief in comparison) run.

PoE however, depend a lot on addictive loops, that will eventually force you to leave the game hating it, even though you spent 3000 hours on it, I am not there, I love it still, but I know that I'm just a couple of frustrating deaths or frustrating crafts away from quiting, because PoE's loop is kinda abusive.

Diablo 3 has its loops, of course, but they are not as abusive as PoE's, which obviously makes them less effective and addictive as PoE's.




TL'DR: I love PoE like an abusive GF, eventually, she will abuse too much, and I will leave, cutting her face from my photos, and remembering 3000+ hours as bad.
