1. New content.
2. Access to new items. 3. Ability to migrate new items to standard during/after league (upsell/monopoly). 4. Fresh economy. 5. Achievements (rewards) 6. Exposure and knowledge of new content potentially going core. 7. Feedback for developers positive/constructive/negative. Last edited by GoddessUnleashed#1043 on May 19, 2019, 11:45:13 AM

" Think about those crafting mods as extra endgame quests tho you can always just ask a friend to craft x mod for you. Atlas changes are actually ok imo - maybe they couldve ask if Standart players want the change, but in Standart things are so screwed up and boring that such change can be just fine if they fix map tabs. Also, we got enough new mechanics that drop items and orbs and farming orbs or useful rares to use or sell for more orbs is easier than before imo; so except SSF, its easy enough already and there should be some things to make us farm a bit more. Dont act like a spoiled kid /no offense/ and just set your goals based on how much time and passion you have to play the game and keep in mind that Chris said some endgame things are made for a tiny % of players who can put many hours to reach and try themselves while rest just go watch streamers do that. Slow down for a minute to enjoy the beauty around us.

" i never understood that, what do you mean with advantage? this game is basicaly a single player game, with a few trades and partys here and there. this is not a PvP game. someone having more recipes than me doesnt interfere in anyway with my gaming experience. |
|
" I think all the basic recipes you normally get through the campaign should be unlocked by default, tbh. The rest of the ones you find in fixed positions are fine. Masters/Syndicates probably need a total overhaul, but I'm not sure what should be done about that... Tired of trolls? Ignore them.

" For you, they way you play the game. A lot of people play this game competitive. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

Is that a serious question? It's like asking if water is wet.

" You might wish to look up the meaning of the words "why" and "if". |

It's actually pretty simple to understand. Chris laid it out plainly for other game developers in his GDC talk:
Designing Path of Exile to Be Played Forever. Chris Wilson at GDC 2019 All you need to do make a game that has new content very frequently (for example every 13 weeks), a ladder system that gets reset, and make your game as shooter and speedy as Fortnite (over 8 million players and now an eSport is a huge gamer market to chase after). Oh yes, most important is to have leagues (seasons, etc.) to appeal to all the gamer addicts and treat your player base just like real junkies to get them hooked on playing the race temp league as often as possible. If you can attract these kind of players it won't really matter that the new content is still beta quality. They are game addicts looking for their next adrenaline fix so just pump out half-baked code so they can get a new race to play and cash in on mtx purchases. "You've got to grind, grind, grind at that grindstone..."
