Can we please stop pretending that Map drops are OK in League?

This is hilarious:

Oh, well… you have to play more. You have to understand, this game is not for casual players, who plays like 5-6 hours per day. It requires slightly more dedication, like 8-12 hours per day and 32 hours per weekend. Playing more can be negative for your health, so don’t play more then 16 hours per day, but this 8-12 is minimum.

Then, try to share this time. Like 6 hour playing maps, delve and nexus and another 6 stay in your hideout and flip currency and maps. This way you will always have plenty of currency and maps. Another thing, you have to convince your parents, friends or family to bring you food and water every day. Try to obtain some mobile toilet too, it’s great advantage. Last but not least, use another one or 2 computers to do live price check and to avoid alt-tabing. Good luck exile, may Chris Wilson be with you!

What is less funny is that the OP makes a legitimate and well expressed observation of his/her experience and gets attacked for it. The opinion that the progression feels awful compared to the past is still valid no matter how loud you shout "I did it differently".

They are not saying it is not possible to play more or trade more, just that it is undesirable to do so for most players.

"mad"? ok, now i'm like 99% sure you're just a troll. Map drops are fine if you learned how to bloody play. Also, the game is NOT designed around SSF.

Grab a clue, sheesh.

I mean, you sound aggressively upset that other people enjoy different things from you, which is a clear sign of insecurity.

I'm repeating myself, but not once did I say map drops are "not fine", so I'm wondering why you feel the need to yell at me that map drops are fine? I already agree.. so calm down maybe?

I'm just stating facts that you can't sustain even white maps without trading.

i'm sure you had no problem sustaining even high tier red maps since you reached level 96 on ssf this league,so what are you even talking about?

This statement is plain wrong. If it were in fact generally impossible to sustain even white maps then where do all the maps come from that are being sold? The Problem is not map drop rate the problem is that those that complain simply do not have the right strategy to build und and sustain their map pool.

Map drops are f***cked.

I had no problem to sustain my map pool in other leagues.

In Synthesis i have an atlas completion of 151/159 and 4 sextants.

NOT A SINGLE T16 MAP HAS DROPPED, I HAD TO BUY THEM.

Got only 1 T16 buy vaal orbing an T15.

Yesterday i tried another time lets say a T14 over 100% with a Zana mod wich gave me a rare T15 with 80% and u can bet that no map dropped...

Then i said to me f**k this shit.

Map drops are fine. I have run hundreds of T16 maps this league and made a lot of profit from selling surplus ones (yes, even T16). If, in fact, map drops were f**cked then where do you think all the maps come from that are up for sale?

I have played Delve - I had the same progress in half time spend with the game (2 weeks instead 4 now). So it means something is nerfed.

Are you sure you play required 8 hours per day? In that case it is propably bad RNG. Maybe try to play 10 hours per day for week or two, then RNG will smile on you again. As you can read, there are many players who swims in red maps, so just try to play more! It is great game and certainly deserves for those mere 8 or 9 hours a day...
Is someone pretending they are okay?

From what I can tell, there are those that know how to maintain and progress and those that don't. I'm not aware of either of those camps pretending, nor am I aware of another camp that is actively sucking at maintaining maps yet actively pretending that it is okay. Who is pretending?

As long as GGG maintains that progressing through the story line and end game will be gated through several factors (game knowledge, strategy, & RNG) then they will constantly find themselves in a no-win situation. Someone will always fall short on one of those factors amd as a result, be on the wrong side of the bell curve.

I'm constantly lending maps to my friends who struggle to maintain and progress. We've all played long enough that the RNG curve should have evened out over that time. Their game knowledge is mixed, but I wouldn't say any of us have a significant edge in that arena either. What it boils down to is how they are running maps, their expectations of how they should progress in a purely linear fashion, and their sheer refusal to trade for any maps ever. I personally believe their stubborn approach to trading for maps is the major issue. They want all of their currency to funnel directly into their builds, and not map progression. I can't say that their argument is without merit -- it's not one that I subscribe too but I can understand it.

As for those that play HC and refuse to roll/run hard maps or SSF which is purposely making the game harder, I think you've chose your path which has self-imposed resistance. I personally think you should come to terms with your imposed restrictions before trying to balance the game around your own restrictions. Thankfully GGG does not balance around SSF or running single/double mod blue maps.

EDIT: My friends also have a severe case of alt-character syndrome. They're constantly pushing new characters/builds. Their currency pool dwindles because of that, and they fail to grind at higher tiers consistently because their leveling or running content better suited for a lower character.
Thanks for all the fish!

Then explain to me why is the price for T16 higher then last league?
Now around 15c last league i could get 'em for 12c
2 weeks ago I had to spend 20C+

And if U can sustain doesnt mean others can too. Maybe you are one of the top 1% players, ever thought about that?

PS: And if sustaining means to run 1 eldered T16 8h a day with 4 sextants, chiseld, vaaled and 3 frgaments 50 times a day then help me god that i cant see the fun in it.
