Can we please stop pretending that Map drops are OK in League?
you cannot play 30 minutes per day and expect the same results someone that play 8 hours.
play more, be more efficient, ALWAYS buy zana maps, if you are on trade league, buy maps, its bad, we all know its bad, but been stuck is even worse. |

" if map drops were gated at the level your suggesting anyone who does have multiple 90's will essentially have infinite maps early on in the league, i'm not really sure that is worse but its definitely against their design goals. |

You're not even SSF, wtf?

" You're doing it wrong. When I do maps I pick a random red map. I'm swimming in them, and you're stuck on whites? lol And yes, you have to play more. 87 after a month, shit I can get there in 2 days. |

" Play more - abandon your school / work, stay no-life, stay with PoE forever. This is the essence of a current game design. Lets reduce drops, so people will play more to achieve something achievable half year ago far easier. I can see that - progress is much slower. I cannot afford to play too much, I cannot do that every day. Now I achieved a point where I was after 2 weeks of Delve (in case of maps it is not that level yet). "Play more..." I can stop to play at all when I will not see any fun there. This is bad approach! GGG please change that. Please do not relay on top players and streamers opinions - they are not your market target - that is less than 1% of players population. |

Shags nailed it. If youre not doing all league content youre working at a disatvantge and probably wont sustain maps or get decent items. Its normal. Its to force you to do league content even if you don't like it.
It's a big reason some racers and players hate it. Because all they want to do is map their way to 100 and not learn a whole new or untested/buggy mechanic. Git R Dun! Last edited by Aim_Deep#3474 on Apr 8, 2019, 1:45:22 PM

" The only person who nailed it is Warlord. Get your atlas completion to 100+, buy your maps to get there if you have to. sub 50 atlas completion and complains about map drops?? Weird ass thread, fail from the get go. |

1.) yes. Play more. That's a great answer. Man, that's amazing. Why didn't I think of that. I'm not asking to be 120+ on Atlas. I'm just wanting more maps to drop, and when those maps to drop, let's make them something better than T1-3, in a T6 Map.
2.) I clear plenty fast enough. Especially since I'm stuck in T5/6 hell, I'm melting the content. 3.) I run Fragments / Nexus Consistently. I'm getting a Map per 3 zones in the nexus. I've received 3 total (pitifully low Tier Maps) from Fragments in Maps. EDIT: I'm just not getting to any of the "great" far memories, because I'm not getting the Directional pieces that I need to connect to some of them. There is no path I can create. 4.) I've run myself out of Sulphite, AGAIN, so no maps from Devling, even though they have been dropping less there, since 3.6 as well. 5.) Im in the process of completing Alva again, for another run at the temple. Alas, I only have 4 more to go on the current round of incursions, and I've yet to see a path to create another cartography room. 6.) I buy all of Zana's Maps. I trade 3:1 whenever I have 3 to trade, outside of the lower tiers now. 7.) What the hell is wrong with me? I play when I can. I'm stuck running content that is a lot lower than me, purely because Map Rates are significantly lower than they've been in the past, and I've all but completely given up on trying to trade. Sitting around 10-15 minutes while I scour out of game sites to then try and get someone to respond to trade for maps is nauseating. Trading for maps (even when you try and buy in bulk) has been rather depressing. 8.) Prophecies are always maxed. Unfortunately, I'm currently in three of the Pale Court Prophecy chains, which cuts down the other ones. 9.) Map Drops are infinitely better in standard, just from mapping. I took a break from League over the weekend, and went back to standard just to blow off some steam, and I've progressed just fine. I ran a dozen or so maps, and maps felt like they were raining out of the sky. 10.) Are you saying that the more of the Atlas you've completed, that it increases Map Drop Rates? Because that's contrary to the in game Tool Tip, and all the information that I'm seeing online. All I'm seeing is that it increases the chance for it to drop at a higher level. That's all I can see that it's ever done, according to everything that I'm able to read. At this point, I think I'm pretty much done with the league anyway. Between trying to balance time between Synthesis, Delve, Maps, running lab to try and get the enchant that I want for a helm, Making sure that I'm following a plan to upgrade Alva's Incursions, so that I can get specific Rooms in the Atlas, I'm just burnt out. This isn't fun. At least I can go back to Standard and Run all my chars there, and not worry about it, and maybe I'll finally burn through all of my worthless maps before the next reset makes them even more worthless than they already are. You really gotta love the people on the forum who's response is: "Play More". That's awesome. As if not being able to play multiple hours every day somehow entitles you to dealing with a less fun version of the game, because you somehow aren't able to just blow through 20 maps a day to make up for the fact that the map drop has been significantly lowered since 3.6, even with the "Fix". At no point, have I said I want a nearly complete Atlas. But, if you told me that I'd be this far into the league, and that I'd still be struggling to maintain T6 Maps, I would have said that you were crazy. Mapping (at each interval of the game that I've played), has been pretty self sustaining and a path of progression until you hit late Yellow, early Red Maps, at which point, it gets a little harder, and more care is needed to make sure that you are maximizing your Map Mods. At no point in the game, have I EVER had to Alch White Maps, and use Sextants to sustain White Maps and low Yellow Maps. At no point have I ever had to trade for white / low yellow maps to sustain. That people are somehow saying this is "How it is", or "How it's always been" just doesn't make sense, at all. When I made the transition to T6 Maps, I had built a pool of 15 to run. I'm down 50% of that, and they've all been alched, and run to ensure that I'm getting the best possible Q/R out of them that I can without going bananas. I guess I'm just not the consumer that the leagues are meant for anymore. Thanks guys, you've talked me into going back to Standard. Last edited by shoju#1134 on Apr 8, 2019, 2:28:27 PM
