The ending of POE ?

" Stop comparing PoE to triple-A titles. It's not helping you look good. Desperate, maybe... If you truly want to debate, instead of attacking so-called "white knights", you have to compare current numbers to numbers at the same time last/previous league(s). I haven't checked the numbers, but I think you'll find a little peak downwards, but nothing drastic. Then you have to factor in that A LOT of players are still using the standalone client, which will make all your numbers a "vague guideline". Just stop these doomsday prophecies. Play the game if you want to. Take a break if you want to. Just stop blaming everyone else for not liking the league or the current state of the game. It's OK to take a break. It's OK to not like the league. The game isn't dead because you're not playing. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile. Last edited by Phrazz#3529 on Apr 3, 2019, 4:38:21 AM

Heh, PoE still brings enough $$$, or you would see TencentGGG scramble everyone to actually fix problems "yesterday".
PoE has the advantage of being a good game and a very interesting complex experience for the most players until they pick the "path of least resistance". It's not only a matter of goals, but even with all the additional lore, content and streamline to the leveling experience we still "get to enjoy" less options that will work from level 1 to 100 "as intended", just because REAL options are chimeric in a "meta or bust" playstyle that coerces players to "share" said views or don't get the same amount of "fun". I am already hyped about Borderlands 3 which will be a pre-order buy, with the ALL DLC and season pass, instead of spending those $ on PoE. If my birthday wouldn't have been in March, the most recent "supporter" badge wouldn't have been there. TencentGGG are unworthy of my hard earned $$$, and they actually haven't been since 2.4.0. They also need to make 3.7.0 a patch that "improves melee" noticeably, addresses the Atlas shuffling + map tab fiasco on Standard, perform further technical improvements, address the Betrayal content current lackluster implementation and hold off on implementing Synthesis in Standard until they rework it in a satisfying manner. Quite a lot to be resolved, not to even mention the regular balance passes on skills, items and preferably mechanics and the skill tree too... But only hitting all these points in a satisfying manner would make me fork my hard earned $$$ for PoE again... Do I expect TencentGGG to "git gud & up to snuff"? You bet, as that is their only option, if they care about PoE's long term health. Will they do that starting from 3.7.0 onward? It's anyone guess and the sad truth is that answer rests solely in TencentGGG's "1K pretzel eating meme dev & balance teams" "capable hands"... PS: Never, ever (and I do mean it) compare an uncompleted product stuck for years in the limbo between beta state and "finished and polished" final release state as that is disheartening, as never before we could have seen such squandered potential like observing PoE... A wise forum member once mentioned: "you can take the game out of the garage, but you can never take the garage out of the game". It applies perfectly to PoE, because although the TencentGGG brought enough backing to ensure a AAA status to PoE, we might not enjoy it yet for a very long while. The mentality also needs to change and improve, but we will see what the next major versions holds for PoE becoming truly the "best on the market" in it's niche... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days... Last edited by sofocle10000#6408 on Apr 3, 2019, 4:51:02 AM

Oh jeez, so many black knights incoming! Same topic each league - PoE is dead or closly dead.
You play this game for number of players or for yourself? wtf! Who cares those statistics in that type of game... |

" Well... There is nothing to compare here. Whether you like it or not, PoE actually is triple-A title. It is GGG's one and only "product". No other games, software, other valuable assets, nothing. Only Path of Exile. Yet it was purchased by Tencent for estimated 75-80 milions USD. This is tripple A price and somebody paid it. Of course, a significant factor in making the game a tripple A was great reputation. You know, all these "creators really listen to the players" and stuff like that. It just ended. You can check the reputation by looking at the answers to the MTX announcements. What counts now is "hard content." If it's crap, then AAA will again become Indie. Indie owned by Tencent :P |

" No, it's not. Bring me some coffee and I'll bring you a smile.

" lol someone is still upset about being outed as pointless forum cryhard who doesn't even play the game... "You want it to be one way, but it's the other way"

Way too much dark seeing here... I'm just asking again; where is the proof that leds to that "its the end!"-attitude? Because Steam-Numbers arnt proofing anything yet.

If people want to compare PoE to triple-A games, go and check how much concurrent players has Diablo 3. I wonder...

" Thanks bots-driven economy and price fixers associated with it. GGG's refusal to introduce AH led to this. |
