" I dont think there is a single game that Tencent made (other than some mobile game) |

Ending? yes Two more leagues like this and it will be ended through a Big drop in active players that play this game.

In the meantime, as everybody can clearly see in Steamcharts, number of players playing Borderlands 2 is only less than 1000 players lower than the number of PoE players. Borderlands 2!! Game from 2013, to which no one has released any DLC for at least 5 years. Despite that, people still playing in it, because it's just a damn good game. Which is clear proof that quality is the best way to players retention.
In other hand, as demonstrated by the example of Shitthesis, lack of quality is the best way for players to run away screaming and cursing. Fortunately, Borderlands 3 has just been announced, so there will be very nice place to run. |

" Just to give you a little perspective, we had this same kind of thread pretty much monthly since 2013. And before you ask, yes, with literally the same complaints about map drops, trade, botting, you name it. And with people posting misleading Steam charts they're not able to interpret. Some things never change, warms my heart. GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence. Last edited by Xavderion#3432 on Apr 4, 2019, 5:07:28 AM

" And don't forget that for playing Borderlands series you always had to fork $$$ outright. TencentGGG tend to forget that "Quality > Quantity" as a mantra for the long time health of a product, and the best ones manage a nice balance weighted towards the first... When I will finish house renovations in real life, I'll get to do further "spring cleaning" regarding the stash, so I'll never feel the need to spend $ on PoE, although due to me being a compulsive hoarder, I can't fathom playing without dedicated special tabs, so TencentGGG releasing a further fossil tab might see me buy it, as for now I'm completely diregarding Delve as a content due to the PITA of managing fossils and resonators, and simply giving any sulphite nodes away... It's sad that PoE got subpar just when I got some "real $$$" at hand to throw towards the "old GGG", but life has mysterious ways of resolving dilemmas... PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"... Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days... Last edited by sofocle10000#6408 on Apr 4, 2019, 5:56:58 AM

Everything becomes stale eventually. I am still fairly new to the game as I started in Delve. I spent my time in Delve learning the basics. I spent Betrayal taking on the endgame. I feel like I've done 99% of the things in game.
Of course the game will feel smaller and less fresh to me now than it did in Delve. Just the basics takes a long time to learn. Betrayal was tons of fun to me as I had to learn Beastiary, Incursion etc. Compare to the amount of new content (to me) in Synthesis and of course the game will feel less grand. It must be the same for people who have been playing for longer. Fresh blood is always good. Either way, I will return for new leagues for a long time to come. |

" They will go back with 4.0 anyway because "Yay hype, big expansion". |

" Wow - take a look at that charts before Borderlands 3 was anounced; because without that newly produced hype there where not nearly as much players online as now (february 16k max - now 44k). But okay - carry on with your cherry picked arguments... |
