25% player dropoff after 1 week, ooh wee

Best comment on betrayal freeze problem is

"GGG: "Do you guys not have SSD's?" xD

And one more thing :

"No king will rule forever is true for Blizzard and it's true for GGG too. Sadly.
Tbh...

The league was very buggy for a lot of players ....

Many people I know personally are taking a month break saying they will play once everything is fixed ....

Am only playing cause am having a blast with new trickster

But am actively not using nexus thingy till that shit gets qol changes and they make the synthesizer more user friendly
I am your Devine one Bow before me
Acualy having alot of fun
BUT the lower map drops are pissing me off so hard!
Goal is uber eldar... but cant even complete my t10 eldar map because or no maps...
Yeah, I can totally see it. And I kind of get why.

When I look at my Memory board, I don't see the same kind of challenge and promise as when I look at Betrayal. With Betrayal, it's a puzzle of who do you put where to first maximize the amount of currency, and then you have to evaluate it with every move. If anything, I would much more prefer the choices to be more ambiguous (i.e. instead of Research being the Scarab safehouse, spread them out).

In contrast, with the Memory Nexus, I just see a giant, tedious pain in the arse. You want to get some Nexus mods? Have fun running areas that will despawn and going through 10+ loading screens. Want to craft Synthesized items? Unless you're going for T1 or T2, you're going to take a hefty loss. There's nothing in there that really grabs you.

Then you have the issue of GGG massively screwing up the map drops to the point of people not being able to play the game. To a lot of people, Maps are a way to experience the end game of PoE. However, it fundamentally doesn't work when you can't sustainably map.

And finally, let's look at fun. I tried the Memory Nexus and like I said, it's not particularly deep or engaging. More than anything, I keep coming back to the word tedious to describe it. It's a monotonous grind with no promise of a payoff. I'm firmly in the belief that grinding Foothills/Quarry is much more enjoyable than the league mechanic and that's how I have played it for the several hours.

So when Steamcharts shows 50% drop, I can totally believe it. I would be very surprised if the majority of players are not accounted for via Steam's numbers.
The memory nexus is strictly worse than conventional mapping and does not really provide unqiue rewards other than a very unrewarding crafting system and minor uniques. I have not touched it in several days.

I think GGG is saving up fixes for one large patch rather than smaller ones incrementally but something should be done quickly.

+1, have absolutely nothing to show for the two or three times I went into cavas' head, so now I studiously avoid confused old man and just play as if in standard.

As someone who actually likes challenge leagues and new stuff and 'strategery' I was really frustrated and unimpressed with Synthesis. It's less forgiving of mistakes, meaning the average player will not unravel the important rules and get meaningful crafting benefit out of it before league ends. Like Incursion, you'll flail and mess up your first tries at memory mapping, but the further behind you are, the worse it will be for you for a longer time.

I see no reason whatsoever to bother with league at this point. I'm having a hard enough time as it is sustaining maps in Standard. And having to avoid syndicate to avoid randomly freezing and losing xp/maps - just no.

Absolutely no wonder why.
Market is full of games what you can launch and play.

Not like you need to dance with a drums to even log in and be able to get through numerous disconnects to finally "your" hideout. And it is just starting issues.. The deeper, the worse it goes..

Or you can launch other game and just play.
So why worry.

You can't log in, because YOU DO ALL WRONG!!!! Dancing with a drums is correct way, but you forget about most important thing! You have to dance, drum, and sing very loudly "Wilson Chris, my honey bunny, come to me and take my money", right to your microphone. Then, just after log in you have to immediately buy 10 "mystery boxes". Then all will be fine!

Good, maybe we finally will get flashback.

Flashback with what? Synthesis on your back? Sorry, but no, thanks. I will not start single new character in that thing, unless they shut it out and do some flashback with whatever else, except Bestiary.

Do you know what flashback is? If you dont like it, just dont run it, you will have plenty of other shit in your maps.

Even Mathil who gets paid to play and how great game is thinks its not so great check out his latest video. Says what I've been saying whole Gen 3. Tedious convoluted too much time in HO and alt tabbed crap

Mathil ISNT paid to play PoE. I doubt any PoE streamer is getting paid to play PoE. They play what they want and if people like it, they pay them. They can play even fking Super Mario and will "get paid".
