Will there be a new atlas every league now?

Yesterday i logged check my daily lications. Saw i didnt havethe map to run jun daily. Went idle in hideout for some poss trades. Ran one map day before that. Gonna keep doing it this way till they fix map stash. If they dont, i wont change my current play. I hope most people in this thread wont either. There are tons of other ways to occupy our time with better customer care.

i'm skipping synthesis, but i would still play standard to push my delve char. i spent a lot of time last league to clear out my map tab in standard, vendor the maps to get new ones and also make room to temporarily store them before i can put them back in. over 2 thousand maps were in there.

atlas is reset again. no, thanks. i won't support such business practices. it just accelerates my detachment from poe which i first played in jan 2013.

I would like to play my SSF Standard characters and progress Shaper / Elder to get good quality bases for fossil crafting. But frequent resets of the atlas that invalidate all my stored red maps makes this a waste of my limited playing time, extremely frustrating and expensive.

I'm the sort of player that likes to set my own objectives and not have others determine how I play so I've basically stopped playing PoE until GGG gives us an answer on this issue. I don't see the point of wasting my time rebuilding my map pool to only have it invalidated in 2 months time. Resetting the atlas adds nothing interesting or any extra value for most Standard players.

They know players are angry about this. What has to be going through there heads though is "does it really matter if they're angry at us?"

I have seen few times already similar approach on Lineage2 servers (maybe in different timescales). It delivers terrible gaming experience for normal players.
This usually looks like that: The first weeks or months (depending on server and release) players population is growing and server owners are fair, even helping people, fighting with bots, scams, bugs. Then, when players population is big enough, they stay less helpful, there are appear farming bots - nobody cares, scammers - nobody cares, people are starting to complain - nobody cares, then, when players population is starting to shrink, there appear wonderful "premium" options to buy for the real money, which can help you play better than others can, then even more players leave, because people start to be bored with a content and with lack of interest of server admin, so... then there appear reduced items and currency drop rate and even more wonderful payable solutions which will help you to achieve better fan. PoE is still not that bad, but seeing aggressive MTX policy and nerfs of the content I can say that it looks like this late stage - when casual and more committed, experienced players are leaving game and where stays only army of bots, scammers and the most fanatic fanboys.

It depends. If they created good content, they could ignore players' anger. But they create shitty content and in this case, players can turn to other games. And you know what will happen then? I will tell you in my own example.

After less than three weeks of the game, I decided that Synthesis is a very bad league. What's worse, it could not be "ignored" because the map drop was so bad that I was unable to sustain the T15 and T16 maps without intense trade, which was associated with another dose of intensive trade and flipping.

Towards the end, I did a lot of things that totally did not amuse me just to make a moment to do things that would entertain me. As in regular work. And that was supposed to be relax?! I finished with it, uninstalled PoE and installed ... Borderlands 1 Remastered Version. Even not B2!

And I immediately felt the WOW effect! What A GAME! I can do what I want and how I want. Shooter? Ok! But I can play melee either, and it works! There is loot worth to pick up, there is even freaking crafting, skill tree that does not make you feel a headache, the ability to quickly move around the maps is available after 20 minutes of play.

I can go where I want, shoot what I want, there is even a PvP arena. Nothing hangs, no lag, cool graphics, nothing overheats the graphics card, when I want to have a new rifle, I earn for it by selling loot, I do not have to whisper to some 50 dudes to sell me any shit, I do not have to sit in hideout, waiting for someone to buy my items, or break away from the game to sell it to him. If I want to sell or buy something, I go to the store and do it. Bonanza!

I feel sick at the thought of returning to PoE. When more players feel something similar, GGG will start having a lot of trouble.

I'm playing BL1redo too. It's still a fun game. Probably my 40th time through the story.
