Path of Exile, Gameplay Criticism

So I'm curious, what would removing the death penalty do for the players defending it. It clearly isn't a problem for you, would you even notice if it was gone then? Would it make this game boring for you? Hmmm I bet you'd be on the other side of the fight having your own complaints. Why bother even wasting your time to input on these threads? If its not an issue, what are you even doing here and not playing the game?

Notwithstanding how you define strength, I'm not sure why strong should be foremost served anyhow. After all, aren't they well off anyway? Well then, it's not my purpose to jump into conclusions here either way, just wondering aloud. I am not going to hash words with you here, I am pretty sure you understand what context I used strength and weakness in. We are talking about a game here.
the game's BEEN rather boring. the power creep has been so insane (i guess i should bump that thread again) that most/all of the content's been trivialized.

betrayal was finally made the game halfway challenging for the first time in years... and then it was nerfed into oblivion after 10 days.

your question ironically answers itself. i'm posting here because it's kinda more fun than the game. i'd rather the game be more fun, but whatever.

The game is boring, I can agree. But sitting here saying the games fine, death penalty is fine, everything is fine, doesn't solve that doesn't it? The OP's points were very valid and Input from you hasn't been very productive so maybe try a different game then cause you're not even helping yourself at this point.

i just mentioned stopping/reversing power creep and also mentioned hating the neutering of the syndicate.

you can't even focus on things i said. you've been focusing on the challenge number beside my name.

as for this thread, it's already been reduced to yet another anti-death penalty thread.

It's my take on the purpose of penalties, and it's relevant to your question.

I think "challenge" (in a video game) can be thought of as a "novel decision count". The more novel decisions someone has to make, the more challenge they experience. Play around with this definition and see if it jives with your own.

Challenge does increase as penalties for failure increase, but it has diminishing returns, as I reason in the video.

I didn't say it did. So your asking the wrong person. Just said the game was boring. If you'd like to know why, well its cause I've been doing the same damn quests since beta and anything before maps isn't even considered content for me anymore. Oh and how bout the lack of creativity when they released acts 5-10. The copy, paste, run it backwards didn't really do it for me. Also running maps over and over for nothing but vendor trash also gets pretty boring. They could at least make the uniques worth a alch when vending but sometimes you barely get tranny shards so they're as good as the trash I'm filtering at the start.


Edit: Not sure how to multi quote cause I'm a stoner lol, but just wanted to mention that face-rolling isn't boring for me. But that's cause I had to work hard to build the char I did to do it. Being a pure phys dps cyclone duelist is kinda tough these days. You don't exactly have the luxury of fighting mobs from afar or off screen like pretty much 90% of meta theses days.
