Why am I playing Hc in SC?

Serious, why am I playing HC in SC? If I was not supposed to die, I'd go play HC. If I'm not an awsome pleyrr and do some mistakes from time to time, why should I get a day of play wasted?

Serious, why in 2019 we still have 10% exp loss if we have many other things that happen if you are too low/unprepared to that content level?

I do 20 T12 maps to get 10% of my exp, and a little mistake or secret ambush from syndicate wastes it all?

Inb4 "you play squishy noob git gud etc" I know my build and my character, and I do mistakes sometimes. Who doesn't? Should I get a day of play wasted because of that?

Your character is 91.

There's no way you loose the xp of 20 t12 maps within a single death.

At your level, you get around 5% per map even if you run them blue.

So if you do not manage to die fewer than once per two maps, the game is telling you that you (or your build/gear) are not ready for the content you are running.

Don't worry, all the poopsock players will be here shortly to tell you it has to be in the game. With all the abuse of these ridiculous pure breachstones, who the fuck cares if people hit 100 any more. Remove the penalty and let people have fun.
I totally agree that it's an unnecessary and fun-destroying mechanic.
How would anything matter anymore if the penalty was removed?
Just mindlessly run and get "killed" until you have only 1 portal left, then clear what's left?
Why even have health bars then?

Yeah sure, there is absolutely no other way to make death matter than reducing the experience, POE is litterally the only game where deaths are important on top of being the most skill requiring video game of the 21th century./s

Meanwhile Darksoul require twenty time more skill than any POE map to be cleared and even in this game made specificaly for hardcore gamers you have a way to recover your exp.

I remember the days when it was 15%.

No. :)
i don't care so much for "death penalty - yes / no" but i always find it funny to read the pro arguments.

death doesn't matter? -> you lose a portal
everyone gets to 100 / no accomplishment -> yea. no! i'm sure i wouldn't reach 100 beacuse i don't play enough (and i already play too much).
skill -> rly? somewhat normalize dmg output so you can't delete bosses.
we can talk about skill if everybody has the same starting conditions. otherwise you just nolife the game to make big money (or RMT, as obviously, a lot of ppl do) or you are extremly lucky with 6L/drops.
and even with very good gear ppl still don't do bosses, lock syndicate, reroll "scary" map mods if they go for 100. can this really be called skill?
it's more like "make the right choices to accomplish your goal".
Ooh, another one of these. Time for some /popcorn
