Crossbows

I hope they will add it :)
May God have mercy upon my enemies, because I won't.

crossbows sound like they would be a good strength/dexterity hybrid weapon, slower attack speed but hits harder = makes sense to me

" They could just change all the bows with 1.10 attack speed into crossbows and be done with it. ;) You could also flip this around, and use the slow bows while pretending it's an x-bow. :P All or most weapon types have slower yet harder-hitting variants... and they are generally less desirable than their faster-hitting counterparts. This is because most players will want to optimize attacks speed and on-hit effects (like damage auras). In D3 slower yet harder-hitting weapons had a role to play, and were desirable due to how all skill damage was based on weapon damage. Last edited by Daemonjax#0396 on Aug 13, 2012, 11:22:41 AM

I like the idea of crossbows and a more varied ranged system. Thrown poison bottles spreading in a cloud anybody?

I remember those poison bottles.
From what I've heard in the past new weapon classes (such as crossbows, javelins etc.) are being considered in the distant future, when they go around to working on additional acts beyond the third. |
