Hang on "Exit to Character Selection"

Today, when I do "Exit to Character Selection" to switch characters, nothing happens for a few seconds, then the game freezes then I get kicked back to the login screen.

Tried rebooting my PC, same thing.

Same for me. I kept having to close the whole game and relaunch to change characters.

The same thing has been happening to me. This could potentially ruin the league launch for me if it's not fixed. Exiting to character selection is an essential part of racing.

Game plays fine, but if I afk I get a long hang before getting an "unexpected disconnection". Can still Exit at this point, some animations still play (e.g. fountain in Oriath, some character effects), but most assets are frozen and menus are empty. Not game breaking, but annoying. Just started happening yesterday (23rd Nov Aus time)

Same thing happens to me but it never takes me back to character select, it just stays frozen indefinitely. I can still bring up the esc menu and select exit game, but everything else is non-functional.

It also only happens to me trying to log out in towns.

Yes, game essentially pauses when selecting "Exit to Character Select". Can't perform actions, but still in game. Only exiting game will work after this.

On a side note, if I am near my stash, sometimes my character will go and open the stash (felt like I was being hacked for a second).

Experiencing the same over the past couple of days. Never been an issue before.

some more info:

if I am inactive in HO for a few minutes I get the same hang, but if I've been active (like running a map) before switching it is fine from HO. Have also seen the weird stash opening thing noted by SuperHeroR.
Happens every time in town unless I immediately switch characters.
