it's a far cry from 'every class can viably play any archetype.' ascendancy ruined that (and gave silly amounts of power creep) and the item affixes cement this nonsense.

I don't think "physical damage taken as x element" should even be a rare affix, period. Or if so its values should be much smaller.

OMG. THE POWER CREEP... is in your head. Seriously people. Do you wanna live in the prehistoric ages still? Let's just go back to flip phones, cause man that apple power creep is REAL!!! Phones are so powerful they are blowing up in our faces!! … Point being just cause its happening. Doesn't mean it HAS to be a problem. Just don't buy the phone and you wont have it blow up in your face. Just like if you don't want a super powerful multimoded weapon. Don't make one. If you feel you ES is too OP, play life based. There are options around the power creep which are so easy but people just love to complain. Myself included quite frankly.

If its not, stop worrying about what others are doing with their gear and worry bout yourself. If its seriously affecting your gameplay. Then just quit. Edit: The crafting bench is optional btw, same with the synthesizer. since there's no relevant pvp. I am having the hardest time seeing any point to this issue. I mean god if your looking for a challenge, take a fucking piece off then if running fully geared is too easy for you. God solve your own problems and stop crying over nothing.
