STOP with this Trading Insanity

" Really? You gonna run maps from self-found currency efficiently? Since in PoE there's hardly any RNG(...), will you tell me what zone do I need to farm for a Taryn's Shiver? Exactly what boss? Because otherwise, I might need to buy one, you know. You need too much currency at high levels just to stay in the endgame, even if you decide to cripple yourself with self-found gamestyle. placeholder for creative sig Last edited by Undon3#5633 on Mar 3, 2013, 5:23:04 PM

I agree. Trading in this game is extremley difficult
Haters gonna hate and tell you to 'shut up. stop moaning' but its very true that trading is tough/time consuming at the moment! Guess we were a bit spoilt with an Auction House in diablo 3! I like auction houses. They are extremley effective. RMAH's? No..... lol Just my 2 cents IGN: TitanVaolox Last edited by Dakrath#3601 on Mar 16, 2013, 8:55:49 AM

" I like where this is going. If you're reading this, I'm probably on another year-long ban. Thanks GGG. Last edited by casval776#6397 on Mar 16, 2013, 8:50:47 AM

This needs to be said again, seemingly:
Trading has NOTHING to do with casual vs hardcore. Now, I am launching a provocation to the so-called hardcores that are anti-AH (I am anti-RMAH, to be clear): Please suggest a system that is at least as efficient. Thanks. placeholder for creative sig

" lol you refuse to support a game that refuses support a broken mechanic. learn to use poe xyz if you want an auction house. people saying they cant sell anything... its becuase you have nothing worth buying. |

The most obvious problem for this game is trading itself.
Every suggestion that would increase solo player fun cant be done because their is trading. - Dramaticly (lets say +1000%) increased droprate of currency so people actually start using this items for crafting -> a lot more fun but currency gets "worthless" Nobody would care about this items been common and worthless without trading in the game. - Vendors sell maps for 1 scroll of wisdom so people can actually play difficult maps instead of faceroll cheap shit all the time. Maps get worthless Noboy would care if their wouldnt be trading. - Good items drop a lot more often and with a lot less RNG (no low lvl affixes on high lvl gear) -> good gear gets more common and is worth less Nobody would care if their wouldnt be trading. And so on. Best solution: Remove trading from the game by making a no trading league that is balanced for playing selffound without having to balance for "the economie". |

" I am a casual solo player. Even though I have yet to find a godly item or anything of higher value than a gcp I still do not want to get everything served to me on a silver platter. An AH is NOT a silver platter. It is simply a more time efficient trading system than bartering. The point of this thread is that the current trade system needs an overhaul because it is so tiresome and inefficient. Casual players will not participate in it. This caps their character progression at around level 70 and will make them quit out of boredom. Also saying that the game should not have casuals is wrong. Catering to only the elitist hardcore players will kill the game in the long run. It is the mass of casuals that keep a game alive (microtransactions anyone?). Once they are gone the game dies a slow and gruesome death. Also let me make a prediction: If GGG does not implement an AH, players will. POE goods is just the start. At some point someone will create an AH outside the game and then GGG will have lost another mechanism to control ingame inflation. Last edited by inf666#6833 on Mar 16, 2013, 11:10:23 AM

" A little too drastic :) We shouldn't fall into any extremes and keep things balanced. How about some stuff should not be tradeable, you already mentioned gear, I dare to say people should get their own gear from drops, fighting monsters, instead of buying it. But that wouldn't work too good without determined loot tables (I would know this first hand, because I play self-found, and my gear is moderately crap...). Then there's "currency". Good luck fixing this without radically modifying how PoE works. Even the previous suggestion, gearing up based on your own monster killing, would already modify PoE a lot. So I assume that nothing will ever be done in this aspect, and the forums will forever be full of "QQ". Or, maybe the devs will recognise the suggestions coming from a large part of the playerbase, and SLOOOOWLY, in time, will introduce incremental changes based on the "a frog in water will not try to escape boiling&death if it's done slow enough" principle, so the "hardcores" will not get too disappointed and attempt to find some other game... placeholder for creative sig

" Sadly it will change nothing. ATM you must go trough hundreds/thousands forum topics and with Public Stash you will must go trough hundreds/thousands stash tabs. Its no better at all tbh. I hope for exxcesive search tools made by GGG (liek the ones made by community only better and integrated ingame). Last edited by KarraKurri#7943 on Mar 16, 2013, 12:19:49 PM
