Chris stated that they got no plans for a new game in some pre-Bestiary interview. Assuming he's telling the truth, it'll take at least 3-4 years (at a conservative minimum) to get anything concrete about a new game. Plenty of time to see Tencent's influence on PoE.

And even if a new game does pop up, you can be sure its premise is not "a game we want to play" but something else entirely.

Lol, this is like the first time since we had our little flaming incident in 2013 or so, that I'm browsing your recent posts and agreeing with everything you'e saying. I don't have a bias towards DE. Guys working there used to make awesome games. But at the same time they have no idea how to make f2p work in 2018.
I mean, they know in a sense - you are a good example of how you can make an illusion of good f2p model. But when you actually take the facts and look at it in a skeptical way, you'll see that it is no different that mobile shittery.

I Honestly wish rather than explaining to us what to expect and that "nothing" bad will happen, GGG could simply reply to one these threads, and just have open discussion. But we all know that's not gonna happen...

Honestly, other then "WeChat", china's business stuff is nothing but shady, they're the less dangerous russia in my opinion, and i fear that GGG may have thought with their wallet, and not for the future of GGG and Path of Exile.

Eighty percent is a... pretty jarring buyout, to be honest. I'm not entirely sure how that makes me feel about the longevity of the company... but, I suppose I'll be here until it stops being fun. Though this almost assuredly kills any motivation or desire I had to spend my limited coinage on anything further.

Disappointing, but I suppose this opens me up to spending things on better impulses.
