Multilogging is way to easy and way to exploitive, and so they are figuring out a way to fix it. Multiboxing is far more difficult, and requires more gear and skill to work with. Yes both offer a roughly 3:1 ratio for loot, Multiboxing needs to use alot more of that ratio, so it ends up being 3:2 for that. The bold letters don't make you seem more intelligent, and doesn't help to justify your claims. The whole, "GGG says it's okay," doesn't justify it, either. It's strange that you resorted to accusing me of using bold text to appoint myself of my own acumen, while you stated it with a mature and controlling tone -- after you were abrasive, immature and lashing out at other people. Something tells me that I am making it very difficult for you to stand by your senseless argument. And so, you ran out of things to say for this argument, and now are feeding your argumentative drives with my personal status. You are taking advantage of the bonus loot for a full party of 6 players, without having a full party of 6 players, but a full party of 6 characters. That's all there is to it. "Taking advantage" isn't always a vile action. You seem to think that "taking advantage" only has negative connotations, which isn't true. Multi-boxing is multi-tasking, the process of loot being distributed amongst those characters is of the same nature as spreading a layer over a larger area, but consequentially you are left with a thinner surface, or a person with one job taking care of two childs versus a person with two jobs taking care of three childs. If they change the loot scaling, then there is no issue. There never was an issue. You only think that there is an issue -- after this issue was appealed for many years, throughout a myriad of discussions -- and all of them consisted of characters such as yourself. What gets to me the most about the abusive behaviour, the result is, that now everybody feel they should have shitloads of easy loot in solo.
Let's disregard for a moment that there's a little bit of effort involved. (good jokes) Let's disregard the potentials (and dear god do people love avoiding this, either because they can't understand or they refuse to acknowledge it due to it being their little secret advantage, which it won't be, unless it's "hard"). Virtually everyone thinks we should now have /players X, so that they too can have fuckloads of loot, WTF! No single person (notice how I don't say character) is supposed to just have assloads of loot at will. I hope drops get nerfed to shit for everybody, particularly when overlevelled and that only possibly legitimate parties can somehow get an advantage. |

Remove additional quantity of loot in parties. People can multibox with no added benefit other than enjoyment of doing so if that is their thing. People in parties will just group more. The economy doesn't get saturated. In realty it isn't the standard multiboxing that is the problem. The issue is the people logging in multi accts just to get more loot on bosses. I'm fine with reducing loot in parties. It'll end all this controversy.

If a person has more that one child in their household, and they have to work at more than one job to support their children, while a person with one child could manage with one job, then by your logic, we should lower the costs of the person with two jobs to level with the person with one job -- even though one person has one child and the other person has more than one child -- as you have one avatar and they have more than one avatar. There ain't much of a discussion around this issue.
- Multiboxing is allowed. - Automation is forbidden. (Spare me the semantics morons, you know exactly what I mean by that, 3rd party programs interfering with the gameplay) If you multibox manually you are pretty much a masochist, so each one to himself. Idiots using 3rd party programs to automatically play several characters at the same time can go die in a fire and I hope at some point there is a way to detect and ban them (I know it's hard and requires a lot of effort). |
