youve trashed the game

trust me, GGG know exactly what they are doing, which is to attract players who otherwise moved on to other games come back to play.

These new items literally make many mirror gears vendor trash now. People who feel no reason to play anymore in new league as their standard mirror items are far better, now may feel obligated to play again.

nothing drives people away quite like forcing them to do something.

its why sextants are so divisive. in previous meta you really do feel like the game is punishing you for not running biscos with a sextant blocked map setup

its why i quit harbinger so fast.

people are very very spiteful and if you push them hard enough in a way that makes them uncomfortable... they leave.

i personally am on the fence as far as these items are concerned

on one hand i like how if you say get a pair of gloves with 3 implicit gems and a life roll you have a 6l and it means the gap between those with money and those without can be narrower

but ggg probably should have put some sort of limit into how many links you could have with 7 being the limit. or 8 if the links involved are clearly bad links such as faster casting etc.

because right now people are making 9links which is just absurd.

Hahahaha the whole everyone thing is classic.

I mean like shit, it's not like mirror tier weapons were even common in the first place, and now you have to roll additional modifiers in a much bigger pool of affixes while still having good defensive stats. And yet here we are complaining we trashed the game.

You are aware that these drop on Standard, too, right? So no reason to play league for that.

Also, I have yet to see many that trounce mirror-tier rares. I have also yet to see an 8-link helmet.

Honestly, quite some of these items are retarded, but that applies mostly to dumb things like conversion modifiers being global. The 6-links in helm / wand / whatever I am not too concerned about to be honest.

Also, it is not possible to chaos spam these items, I tried. The Shaper / Elder mods die. I am not sure whether they count as prefix or suffix, they might count as neither, in which case also metacrafting them is not possible.

Don't get me wrong, I think some things are pretty broken here, but they may not be as bad as you think.
Remove Horticrafting station storage limit.
So rares are finally useful and interesting, and now people who don't no life the game will actually be able to have good characters. Seems pretty awesome to me. Maybe GGG has decided to balance around normal players for once instead of people that play 10 hours a day. Also since we are talking about rares here, there will still be perfect items to chase for those who do no life.

Sounds good on paper, but balancing for casuals makes a casual game. Unfortunately, enthusiasts got it where it is today, those that create community tools, build guides, interpret new mechanics and maintain the wiki. GGG created a game that's fairly inaccessible to casuals without the help of enthusiasts, you can't suddenly flip the LP and create a game that has nothing for them anymore.

Actually, you can and have every right to, it's just a bit of an asshole move.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

I'll be brief here but stop whining dude.

Straight up it's amazing I don't give a fuck about power creep all I desire is to feel powerful how I've always been an ARPG.

That's the entire point.

Dunno, we'll see how far are they intending to go with this. Because if you can instantly get godly gear right after offing Kitava and go lalalala mode it might be the end goal of an ARPG but there's no game anymore in it, it's an ARP and you're roleplaying a mildly pissed creator of life, universe and everything.
Wish the armchair developers would go back to developing armchairs.

These changes are the absolutely opposite of casual; the rares are only ever going to be seen by players that enter maps, which is not alot of the population. The best rares will be seen only by a handful of players if even that.

sounds pathetic, and if thats all this game cares about its a pathetic game.

How's it pathetic? Entire point of an ARPG is to feel like a god. It's always been like that.

Hold your tongue when you talk to me you know this.

I mean I play games because they are fun and challenging... I guess some people do play games because they're compensating for their powerless irl, and I think that's a legit reason to play a game... but POE is billed and most importantly: SUPPORTED as a Hard core ARPG, not a silly time waster phone app to allow teens with daddy issues to get their angry feels out.

There are lots of casual games out there where you can feel like a god and never be challenged, you happen for whatever reason to have adopted a game that is supposed to not be about facerolling content with the equivalent of cheat codes enabled.

I know you don't want to hear that you adopted the wrong game again you'de rather just incessantly whine about how it's not easy enough for you... but that's 100% of your posts that I've ever read. So yeah, you're playing the wrong game... only slowly over time you're getting your wish which is why people like myself and the OP are complaining.

You've co-opted and misappropriated a Hard Core gamer, game and along with other casual gamers are slowly getting your way by whining constantly. It's sad what POE is rapidly becoming... But it appears that GGG is more concerned with money than with the original vision for the game. Such is life. POE is an incredible game but it's steady degrading and becoming more and more of a lawn mowing simulator to please folks like youself that aren't interested in intense challenging fights, and compelling gaming choices, but instead on compensating for irl.

These items aren't balanced around ANYONE, Casuals want to hold LMB down and mow the lawn all the way to mowing down Guadians and Shaper like so many blades of grass; using whatever meta build someone else perfected for them, and all the gear they RMT'd. Casuals DO NOT want or need a second 6L. Power gamers who want to get everything in the first 3 weeks and then quit until the next league will snap them up and finish in 2 weeks instead of 3. Core gamers meanwhile are looking at these items and wondering if Tier:18 through Tier:30 maps are coming so we have something that needs this Dump truck load of new power...

IMO the only way these Items make sense is if there's some post Shaper maps expansion on the way that's already in the works... maybe Randomly generated T18 through T30 Atlas pages?
