"I believe you're suggesting that disconnects or hard computer crashes should be able to cause players to lose highly valuable items. I'm not sure why that would be helpful. Now that prestige classes will finally leave lab in 4.0, will GGG get it right this time or will they find new ways to repeat old mistakes? got it for cheaps, there are plenty more out there The Surrender, previously one of the most valuable shield uniques just got a little power-creep kick in the butt one observation tho - something is happening to the shaper/elder item drop rates, from 2/map avg i got to 1/5maps today. is it going to be balanced around people who due-farm-but-not-kill elder? is this the way we should play this game? |

" The difference between a 23% chance to block shield vs a 30% chance to block shield is monumental. The surrender still beats that shield and kicks it's teeth in; the only advantage that shield has is barely more life and a res. Surrender still has a significantly higher block chance and significantly higher armor. |

" when was difficulty ever REALLY increased before, though? since atziri/beyond, it's just been easy. there was mention of changing monster health/damage, but it was still... easy. i don't think the difficulty was ever realllllly changed. just some numbers, and they seemed insignificant, for intents and purposes. and this has already been on the diablow path. tyrannical -> merciless. lab enchants. 6 ascendancies... -> 2 MORE ascendancies. defensive tiers have continually increased, from flat armor/es/eva to % to res and stats. that's the problem, basically. it was already full of power creep and in EZ mode. this new shit just made it absurd. hurr durr, 8L helm/gloves, 150 edps jewels, and a chestpiece that grants invulnerability. gg! Damn near everything in endgame is a (more often than not, untelegraphed) one-shot now, not just in boss fights, with the massive monster hp buffs it takes an order of magnitude longer to kill anything with what used to be considered decent gear, and the number of different stacking slow effects that can (and fairly often will) be applied simultaneously to players keeps growing with every patch. Fairgraves was a slave trafficker specialized in the kidnapping and transport of children. He was not "a good man".

i played an oldskool summoner in harbinger. as in... 6L zombies. ES. no baron. an undying flesh talisman (+1 zombie). ran through everything with no issues until i got bored. tanked t16 minotaur. it was easy.
