youve trashed the game

Im not making fun of Chinese. This was a reference on Chinese gold sellers in World of Warcraft (especially in TBC-Shadowmoon Valley), which were (and still are) very big problem, when we talk about Economy. Of course, not every farmer is Chinese, that makes sense.

Somebody do a Picard facepalm for me please, I'm at work. :(

On a more serious note: That is discrimination. I know your reference, even a music video made by Nyhm. Doesn't mean what he says in it isn't controversial. Heck, that's the whole point of it.

Most of the problems people are talking about are associated with standard and temp standard. If you want a better economy then play HC, or ask GGG to add more item sinks.

People like Snorkle and Sid are 100% overreacting. First thing is first, you need an 84 base. Most people don't play the game long enough to even reach that. You need Shaper/Elder drops on a good base then. Then you need to either chaos spam or actually craft with materials in order to get a good roll. Most of the time you are spending over 1k alts + regal + exalts, or hundreds of chaos depending on your RNG/luck.

These items give more power to players who play the game a significant amount of time or have a massive amount of wealth; not casual players. People talk far too much shit about how easy this game is, and yet the same people are the people who don't play HC. If it was so easy, play SSF HC, no logout macro, no cheesing, etc. and then show how easy the game is. And yet said same people don't, because they are full of hypocritical bullshit. Talk shit about how easy it is to get items, but are playing on standard where all their wealth is dumped into, or playing temp league softcore where it's easy as balls to make cash as it's only a matter of time.

As soon as PoE will be as RELIABLE with the mandatory always online connection, I would play solely HC. Until it reaches that point, I see 0, yes, let me bold it, incentive into sinking huge amount of time into it, just to be "moved into @#%*|~^ Standard" at the whim of the internet connection, power surges, servers crashing, and other real life issues...

And you don't have ANY kind of problem playing PoE even focusing on solely end game as long as you really sink enough time and hoard like crazy (presuming your knowledge, build and skillplay are "up to snuff")...

Now if all those cool new "toys" would have at least come corrupted/mirrored/have the magical "mod's can't be changed, only rerolled", and drop solely from the bosses encountered on the Shaper/Elder influenced maps, they would bring a "balanced" incentive to "work towards a set goal"...

At the moment, they represent solely "free candy", just like the announcements of "legacy" items come to "spike" the economy for NO GOOD REASON, just before new content gets released... If GGG would introduce "power creep" next to challenging content, things would slowly advance in the direction of making the players always feel "invincible" instead of making them at times "invulnerable" until further content to challenge us is released...
PSS: Our almighty TencentGGG overlords are very scrupulous regarding criticizing their abilities to take proper decisions and consider everything "needlessly harsh and condescending"...

Good to know "free speech" doesn't apply in any form or manner on the forums these days...

Not to belittle you or your post or subtract from its validity at all, mate, but I can't help myself when reading your posts to imagine you reading it out loud using airquotes every time you type quotation marks. :D

Oh, it's just that I use those when I feel very ironic/sarcastic and so on depending on each case. And most people do tend to use the "airquotes" too easily and without enough impact. When I use them, it's mostly to better convey my own feelings and the "read between the lines" meaning of my remarks...

I'm particular about the best way to express your own sentiments in writing and as long as I'm still invested in PoE, I'll "keep it up". ^^
