Every high-end gear in online games are non-craftable..why POE have them? Especially with such a big power level leap.

Chaos orb is already at 3 alch per one..A few days ago, it was 7 per one. This indicates, that people started crafting and chaos spamming these elder/shaper items in Abyss league too.

And we are only week in League..Can you imagine what will happen within a month, if nothing will be done to fix this problem?

How is chaos becoming cheaper an indication of people using them on crafting? Shouldn't it make them more expensive as demand increases and supply dwindles? Also 7 alch per chaos is ludicrously expensive. That's probably just because they were sold out at the time.

Quite simple, concurrence. There are people who chaos spam and need a large number of chaos orbs and there are many people who want to provide chaos orbs to them. But to make a profit, they must be 1. Visible 2. have enough chaos orbs for business. So one guy sells 100 ch for 1:1 orb ( probably Orb of Scouring, by looking on current graph). But other guys offer 100 for 1:0.7. And this goes and on until chaos orb cost 1:0.5 chromatic.

This applies to other "rare changing" orbs. Exalt is already skyrocketing. So as Scouring and Divine.

D3 has infinite difficulty scaling, so at least the power creep make sense in that you can take even harder contents.

In a game like PoE with hard mob level cap, more power creep is far more silly.

so have you already reached it? rolled all 12 jewels, op elder item and enjoying oneshotting shaper?
No rest for the wicked

I'm still scratching my head at this. So when people spam chaos orbs, chaos is worth half a chromatic and exalts skyrocket?

I think I may just start drinking coffee after all... what am I missing here? :/

Supply and demand. We have too many suppliers and not enough customers. Not enough in term of buyers, not amount of product sold to him.

Imagine you will visit market with the intention to buy a bread. You are known for buying bread. There will be hundreds of bakers, trying to sell you bread. This is happening right now in POE. At least in Abyss. Logically, with more "bread eaters" this problem could be fixed, but due to obsessive amount of bread, the bread-eater will buy, There will be always a least 10 bakers for one bread-eater, trying to sell their bread.

Also not every customer can afford exalt, and not many suppliers sell them. that's why prices skyrocket. They can set their prices.

Yes, I see that. The concept of supply and demand is second nature to me, but that's why I'm not grasping your statement.

You say eveyone is spamming chaos, consuming the orb in the process. It's gone out of the world, never to be sold again. Naturally the supply would go DOWN rapidly and demand would go UP as people are consuming the orbs crafting rares. So then chaos should become more EXPENSIVE as demand is at all time high and supply dwindles as it's not resale, but consumption we're talking about.

Know what I mean? It makes no sense that when suddenly everyone wants bread, that bakers are going to sell it for next to nothing. They would increase prices to make more profit as it'll sell anyway. They'd only lower it to try to increase sales and reduce excess.

I perfectly know what you mean, but your problem have easy explanation.

Chaos is simply easy to get. It's not rare anymore. Skill gems cost 1 alch and people buy it (i already sold like 20 of them). That's already 7.5 CH. New jewel, belts and uniques (which drops like flyes due to abyss trove). They all cost in average 1 alch, but 3 alch is already 1 chaos.

Im lvl 51 and my "net worth" in inventory is already at least 2 exalts.

Also, Chinese "gold sellers" help with swapping problem too. You will always be able to swap in to chaos because of them and their power farming houses. In the end, you don't know if th buyer you are swapping with have legit chaos and not purchased.

And that is another problem. As more people start to chaos spam, we will eventually run out of chaos. That's where Chinese bots come in and effectively rule the market.

All hail our new Chinese overlords.

Corrupting these items is the only way, how to prevent this to happen or at least slow it down, to not ruin temporary Abyss league.

GGG has a choice to made. Either keep the currency sink or having an in-game economy ruled by someone with last name Hong-Dong.

Discrimination is not tolerated on the forums. For all you know, farmers could be from any country (and they are, believe me). To assume they are Chinese is bad enough, but making fun of them based on that assumption is crossing the line.

Bots are the problem, not the Chinese.

Im not making fun of Chinese. This was a reference on Chinese gold sellers in World of Warcraft (especially in TBC-Shadowmoon Valley), which were (and still are) very big problem, when we talk about Economy. Of course, not every farmer is Chinese, that makes sense.
