Those 2 Minute uber lab runs were ridiculous. You need to agree this was way too over powered.
They were silly, but also looked like fun. It wasn't the players' idea to turn the labyrinth into a foot race, that was GGG with their promotions. They could have had objectives that took time to solve along the way, and less damage. Instead they chose high damage and obstacles that can be bypassed with movement or movement skills.
If GGG wants players to slow down, they need to build some worthwhile rewards in for players, otherwise the latest clear speed meta will always dominate the game and be OP.

As shown in the video, it is swapped out purely for the movement speed and that IS a problem
Gear swapping is OP. Disable it unless the character is in town or their hideout. That would solve a lot of problems, no?

Meh. This is Uber lab farmer only though. Nerfing them would be good idea, but GGG got overboard with nerfs as usually.

Good thinking. Too bad the character is a Pathfinder.

Okay i was indifferent about QOTF nerf but after seeing this i'm fully on board :D:D. This is broken as hell.
This build is literally only good for Lab. It can't do anything else and if you will make a little mistake you will die. It's very skill based on top of that. Mapping builds don't get that fast.

Yeah. A lot of players scream "out with GGG, in with a cow" just as soon as the word "nerf" is being mentioned. They see the word "cap" on QoTF and read "end of the world" - without EVER being close to reaching that cap in the first place.
Yes, it will be a little bit harder to reach the cap with the nerf to evasion on it, but hell... It literally gave you A LOT of movement speed for free in 8/10 evasion builds.
Two flasks, 50% Aura, points on the Tree, Evasion on gear, etc. etc. For free...
I reach cap with 1 flask, no Shield, no Grace, no Three-Step assault.

I'm sorry but anyone getting upset/angry over this change is being a little overboard and dramatic. A few people being upset that their broken build no longer works doesn't override the fact that the game wasn't designed for that style of play. Whether it took 1 item or 10, the build was ridiculous. Players SHOULD feel it when they sacrifice everything defensive for insanely fast and over-powered builds.
I am totally in favor of this change as a neutral voter. I vote for the health of the game as a whole, and not in favor of mad kids that can't feed their ADHD by going mach 3 in a video game. I'm not 100% on this exact change being the answer, but it needs addressed.
Thank you GGG for caring about the health and integrity of your game, and not "catering" to the people who don't. I won't mention any other game companies here that do it all backwards, but one company possibly rhymes with Gizzard.
And I felt when I sacrificed a lot for QoTF?
200% cap would be more plausible. That would hit Uber Lab runners really badly still, but mapping builds would be still pretty much fine since they usually don't get more anyway.
Such builds were possible mainly thanks to VP, QoTF will be less attractive just because of that already. You are not gonna play anything except of Slayer if you want to play clear speed Meta leech build and without Pathfinder it just falls to pieces honestly. This playstyle on it's own goes away. Now I don't think this nerf was needed at all.

Yeah, Uber Lab farmers had insane movement speed, but no mapping build could match that.

That is why the manifesto stated specifically that the average player will not notice the speed cap nerf.
This was almost entirely focused on nerfing lab runners who essentially skipped the content without penalty. They will still be very fast with it, but the reduction in cap may mean the difference between running through mobs/traps and dying to those mobs/traps.
I have a lab runner "Piglee" who used this and it is insanely fast and takes any challenge out of uber labs.
Average player would get around 200% MS with QoTF. Capping it at that value would be so much better. For item that would fall out of favour anyway, because this playstyle goes away with VP nerf...

Queen of the Forest
Now has 200 to 240% increased Evasion Rating (down from 240 to 380%). The movement speed bonus this item can provide has been capped at 100% for all versions.
Changes to evasion basetypes in The Fall of Oriath both pushed the evasion rating of this item too high, and took the movement speed this item granted to an extreme. We never intended for a single item to be able to provide so much movement speed. Over time as more movement speed and evasion became available this item has become unreasonable. The movement speed players were attaining was not something that the game was designed to handle. This cap is unlikely to affect average use of this item.
This body armour on it's own, even wit high Evasion on every piece of gear, Grace, Evasion on the Tree was pretty ok. It wasn't overpowered. You needed to add 3 non-damage non-uniqeu Flaks with flask effectiveness to make it work on top of that. "Single item" my ass.
QoTF characters had less life, less damage nodes, restricted gear choices and other sacrificies to make. It was huge investment and it was specialisation kind of thing - you would build around movement speed lacking in other parts. It wasn't "hurr durr, equip body armour become the Flash" thing like GGG tries to say, you need to combine all the pieces together.
Now with Vaal Pact gone, this playstyle would already be non-existent, because it was Vaal Pact that was keeping this characters alive, but GGG went extra mile and kille the item for good.
And this 100% movement speed increase cap is just ridiculous. One flask gives more movement speed...
Rip Road Runner.
Based on your build, it appears you will be losing exactly 11% movement speed so instead of 212% you'll have 201%. Guess your build isn't dead and you can stop whining now.
Edit: These numbers are based on PoB using a 220% evasion QoTF
I will lose around 150% ms.

Bummer, flipping high eva QOTFs that people put up for a couple of c has been very profitable the last few leagues.

Lol, if you never used qotf to get insane speed, why does 100% cap bother you?
And you can still be f1, 100% on its own is insanely fast.
You probably feel butthurt because you don't want YOUR exact build to be nerfed because you don't feel sacrificing little bit of damage or some other resources to compensate that loss of movement speed elsewhere.
