About QoTF nerfs...

I'm sorry but anyone getting upset/angry over this change is being a little overboard and dramatic. A few people being upset that their broken build no longer works doesn't override the fact that the game wasn't designed for that style of play. Whether it took 1 item or 10, the build was ridiculous. Players SHOULD feel it when they sacrifice everything defensive for insanely fast and over-powered builds.

I am totally in favor of this change as a neutral voter. I vote for the health of the game as a whole, and not in favor of mad kids that can't feed their ADHD by going mach 3 in a video game. I'm not 100% on this exact change being the answer, but it needs addressed.

Thank you GGG for caring about the health and integrity of your game, and not "catering" to the people who don't. I won't mention any other game companies here that do it all backwards, but one company possibly rhymes with Gizzard.

Except they have numbers, the number of people using the items would tell them that it is a meta unique and they would investigate as to why and test it themselves and lo and behold it's bloody broken because of the reason stated.

As shown in the video, it is swapped out purely for the movement speed and that IS a problem

The video shows the possibilities of this item - without a cap. It's these possibilities they want to address. Removing these possibilities while still keeping it as a solid item for "the man in the street" is a good nerf. I think the video is a fine example of the possibilities of an uncapped QoTF.

That is why the manifesto stated specifically that the average player will not notice the speed cap nerf.

This was almost entirely focused on nerfing lab runners who essentially skipped the content without penalty. They will still be very fast with it, but the reduction in cap may mean the difference between running through mobs/traps and dying to those mobs/traps.

I have a lab runner "Piglee" who used this and it is insanely fast and takes any challenge out of uber labs.

I agree, it does show the potential. And like I said I don't believe the nerf was unjustified. Just this video doesn't show gameplay. If you would nerf everything that is OP in a small part of the game you better nerf everything. And honestly, who would even think about QotF any longer? Shit evasion, mediocre stats. The chest is dead pretty much. Wich is I guess what they aimed for.

Thats cool, look fun, like it.

No reason to nerf it, nerfs helps to nothing, only to those who can not help themselves.
Rip. Though i think the nerf is justified. Hilarious how fast u could go with stacking EV on a Queen.

?

Shit evasion? Still has the highest flat evasion of all uniques? 100% increased movement speed?

"It no longer has twice the evasion of other uniques, so it's shit"
"It still grants more movement speed than any item in the game, but it's shit"

I don't understand this "black or white" attitude. It's like either it's abuseable to the point of stupidity, or it's shit. Sad attitude.

Now has 200 to 240% increased Evasion Rating (down from 240 to 380%). The movement speed bonus this item can provide has been capped at 100% for all versions.

Changes to evasion basetypes in The Fall of Oriath both pushed the evasion rating of this item too high, and took the movement speed this item granted to an extreme. We never intended for a single item to be able to provide so much movement speed. Over time as more movement speed and evasion became available this item has become unreasonable. The movement speed players were attaining was not something that the game was designed to handle. This cap is unlikely to affect average use of this item.

This body armour on it's own, even wit high Evasion on every piece of gear, Grace, Evasion on the Tree was pretty ok. It wasn't overpowered. You needed to add 3 non-damage non-uniqeu Flaks with flask effectiveness to make it work on top of that. "Single item" my ass.

QoTF characters had less life, less damage nodes, restricted gear choices and other sacrificies to make. It was huge investment and it was specialisation kind of thing - you would build around movement speed lacking in other parts. It wasn't "hurr durr, equip body armour become the Flash" thing like GGG tries to say, you need to combine all the pieces together.

Now with Vaal Pact gone, this playstyle would already be non-existent, because it was Vaal Pact that was keeping this characters alive, but GGG went extra mile and kille the item for good.

And this 100% movement speed increase cap is just ridiculous. One flask gives more movement speed...

Rip Road Runner.

Based on your build, it appears you will be losing exactly 11% movement speed so instead of 212% you'll have 201%. Guess your build isn't dead and you can stop whining now.

Edit: These numbers are based on PoB using a 220% evasion QoTF

I think you are the one who has no idea. This is just 1 example.

The moment this game is gonna get balanced around people with 2k life and no resist is the moment this game dies.

Not saying the nerf was unjustified, just that this video is a really bad example.

It really isn't. This is the end of the line of lab farmers.

Not to mention the King of the Forest Zerker build using QotF. Just another example.

I have seen Spectral Throw mappers with 5k+ Life and 300%+ Move speed.

I have seen wanders using QotF + KB to clear endgame maps (T16) with ease.

Come again?

That's kinda ggg,s fault since they nerfed es and packsize ofc people would try and move as fast as possible.
Doesn't matter to much we will still see lots of 200+ ms Raiders and pathfinders with qotf.
