About QoTF nerfs...
Commenting to the last post first: Lots of people use Stibnite Flasks, especially evasion builds (even non QOTF), but mostly for its duration/charge efficiency for suffix effects.
30% boots, 50% Phase Run, 87.5% Alchemist's Quicksilver Flask of Adrenaline, 20% Onslaught. Add another 56% from Flask effect bonus (Pathfinder with Witch nodes) and you have 243.5% increased movement speed WITHOUT QOTF. If you add QOTF, you now get 343.5% instead of 600 something, but I really think the movement speed cap isn't too terrible. Add in other uniques for another 50-100% movement speed if you really want to max that and nothing else, and you'll have slightly less defence due to lower evasion while you run, but who's going hit you while you run at that speed and have phase run for reduced detection? Lab runners will be fine, they'll just need more items purely focused on movement speed instead of stacking evasion. I personally have a Pathfinder with QOTF that has around 200% total increased movement speed (last time I checked, anyway) and that I use for mapping with Dying Sun and 4L KB (basically comparable to a 6L KB because of 3 added projectiles and some AoE with no damage penalty). I don't really have maxed gear (or rather, it's also a VP based char that I focused more on building dps than defence), so I would probably lose 20-50% ms. However, it's in standard with the legacy version at 350%+ evasion and uncapped movement speed. This has not been emphasized before (and I have read the whole thread), but this change will not affect existing builds. It will just slow down future lab runners playing leagues. Considering the insane values this item could grant (because unlike e.g. Power Charges for Void Battery, evasion doesn't have a cap), the nerf was well justified. If you're unhappy with the stats this item provides you in new leagues, ask them to increase the other stats, because it really does make more sense for it to be a little more difficult to obtain Evasion with an item that adds so much benefit. The item would still be great if the evasion was negative, except then it wouldn't be playable without maxing its effect. |

" Lab runners are not gonna use it anymore for sure. 200% cap would be already too much to handle for them, 100% is just...there will be new speedstar builds or just good old leap slam... |

" technically now .. you dont.. it is one item as most of the other stuff you mention .. are good on their own. evasion on its own is good and given a choice between it and armor .. it shits all over armor. a bunch of the good evasion items are good items grace is a good defensive aura on its own so are the flasks (except jade.. what a piece of shit) you need all those things.. if you are planning to stack evasion. you only need qotf if you plan to make that evasion do more than help you evade shit. |

" What was that about leaving the argument? So should I take this to mean that you're a liar instead of a moron? Or do you really think that _chest armor_ should be allowed to give more than _twice_ as much movement speed as _the fastest boots in the game_? " Fine. And even 400% was on the low end, right? But do you really think anyone's going to be able to beat the time of a 230% QoTF post patch? Have some intellectual honesty. After the change, queen builds will still be topping the lab leaderboard with runtimes in the 4-5 minute range. " I doubt. -- I don't have alpha access, that was a LONG time ago. " ...lol lab runners not gona use it? seriously? they nerf one broken as fuck version of a labrunner and suddenly the chest is worthless to all labrunners? you know .. not all ms based lab runners were 500% ms path finders with 2000 hp shitting on izaro with mines. " Basically they all were. They were getting like 300-400+% incr. mov. speed. from QoTF. Remember, -25% mov. speed penalty is still here and base Evasion is cut by a lot - down to 1500-2000 at max roll or so? increasing pressure on gear even more. Investment is simply not worth it in my opinion. On top of that, VP change affect build as well, so it would not be as good as it was naturally. Last edited by SunL4D2#6224 on Dec 6, 2017, 4:25:39 PM
