Prizes should be different for hardcore and softcore, why would i play hardcore?

I posted several times in this thread that it has nothing to do with what the prizes are excactly, my problem is that there is no logic in chosing hardcore if you care about winning the rewards, because they are so much easier to obtain on standard.

Because standard is the logical choice if you want to win anything, it is the same as forcing me to play standard, which is not very fun for me because i enjoy taking great care about my builds and learning what i have to avoid and dont die.

Hardcore and standard are essentially the same game, but experience and careness is an even greater attribute to have when you play hardcore, and it is only fair you get rewarded for that.

I will be so bold here to make a statement that everybody that disagrees with this is probaly only playing standard and the few in this thread that agreed actually plays hardcore because they understand the dilemma.

Just like any other game, there are different difficulties and each difficulty is a goal you would strive to beat and just like any other game you get rewarded equally.

you are correct of course, SC is significantly easier and offers the same rewards

while It would be cool if GGG went back to separate rewards, they have decided its not worth their time/effort
