Is Vaal Pact a cheese mechanic?

Vaal pact is a fine aged cheese, ready to be cut in pieces in 3.1.0 by dev team. It is beginning to smell badly, ripe for the feast of tears coming up for holidays (december)

Rather than nerf vaal pact, why not buff regenration?

There are builds that give you 3k-10k health regen per sec, it won't help if your ehp can't handle shaper blast for example or minotaur slam with triple damage mods.

There are also builds that have 300hp 0 es and tank with vaal pact all content.

Such kind of discrepancy is what bothers most I think

What was first? Vaal Pact or spike damage?

As a connoisseur of philosophical PoE questions the only correct answer to this seems to be "your mom".

Peace,

edit : as for the topic at hand, it's as much cheese as using coockie cutter build x-y-z of the month.

I think very good HP reg. is better than VP.

VP - 1! node on tree, good HP regen - build based on extremely good survivability + good gear.
Actually I was referencing this years post of a build that literally has around 1hp and 200es , tanking all content in game, including uber atziri flameblasts.

Also it uses no vaal pact. Yeah contradicted myself, but build with 1k hp with sufficient reductions and vaal pact can be made immortal very easily.

Seems like flasks are the real offender, flasks nerf incoming, vaal pact untouched on 3.1.
