Nazibanners in 3.0! Why?
Hi, i think it´s obvious and clear for everyone to see that the banners which you encounter from act 5 on have a noticable similarity to the banners used by the german nazis:
Why does this have to be? Is it necessary? ![]() Last bumped on Aug 31, 2017, 12:49:39 PM

are you afraid of symbols?
I represent only myself, my own thought and believes. I am individual, not a representative of the community.
I am not speaking on behalf of someone else and I don't get offended by things that have nothing to do with me. 3.13 was the golden age. |

Symbols have a meaning. That`s why they called symbols. i.e. Blackmagic symbols

You do realize that they didn't invent the hanging of banners...?

What are so called "blackmagic symbols"?
"How come only evil forces were released?" - "Because there are no good forces."
"So, then. You don't believe that there is a God." - "There was a god." "Well, then. Where is he now?" - "I killed him," said Kane. | |
If anything it's more like a portrayal of how the Templar act in this game.
They have been acting very mean towards the Karui and many Karui have suffered from their abuses. "Dead DPS is 0 DPS"

If it makes you think, yes.
If you skip that part you could also start punching peoples faces. Haven´t seen you either protesting against Australia detaining Humans on a isle conveniently without fence and hospital. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=drDs-Y5DNH8

" It´s obvious they where going for a certain theme with it. We know Oriath was a theocracy with the High Templar basically acting as a dictator. Free thinking folk appeared to be persecuted, tortured and outright killed or exiled. Personally I find it a bit "fourth wall breaking" and lazy. They´re basically saying: Hey, here´s some Nazi symbolism so we don´t have to explain the identity Oriath to the player. And imo it doesn´t blend in well with the rest of the game and what we´ve known about the world of PoE until 3.0. GGG could have definetly brought the point across in a more elegant way. " Which is funny, because the oriathan way of dealing with the Karui bears the trademark of a colonial power more so than the nazis I would argue. Though both used slave labour. Point on the symbols list which symbol touched you?
also conveniently missing the fact that the swastika is an ancient symbol that long pre-dates nazi regime and was simply stolen and might as-well have been a tea-cup with a rainbow above it if it served the desired purpose.
