Nonsupporters of GGG and "3.0/Harbinger Sucks"

Legacy should have been rolled into the regular game.
It was FUN. I know POE appeals to hardcore gamers and so of them complain in this thread it is not hardcore enough, but reality is that even in the Legacy league POE was a virtual desert of loot. D3 went too far in making loot "better" but the loot in POE is so ridiculously rare and grindy it becomes pretty much un-fun. I hope at some point GGG realizes that for the vast cast majority of players FINDING loot is infinitely better than trading for loot, and that the RNG orb system is just ridiculous and needs to be revamped. I LOVE the skill systems in POE, but whenever I play I get to this point where I realize that seeing an endless stream of useless white loot, precious few orbs and almost no unqiues or rares to speak of the game becomes boring. The reality is that, Harbinger is bad because it does not address the inherent awfulness of the loot and currency system. It just makes it worse. In my opinion, GGG needs to introduce: A PERMANENT SSF League with decent drops. The SSF league as it is now, is a Ironman league not a SSF league for people that just want to have fun Legacy league needs to be part of the game proper. All those incredibly cool systems that ADD FUN and now none of them exist anymore. That is just bad design. Stop caring about maintaining such a hardcore economy as well. Dont make loot trivial, but it needs to literally be an order of magnitude better than it is now. MAKE LEGACY PART OF CORE GAME, CREATE A TRUE PERMANENT SSF league. Both of these will lead to many more customers. |

well bought 2 ( 3packs ) packs and i dont like the league too, rewards and skins are bad ( or better i dont like it )
i hate lvling new chars so i guess the new system with act1-10 is nice for me but still only in act 6 and it's decent so far... ALso i like the idea with Part II and the small changes here and their ( IMO it was a great idea and something NEW) What GGG did great with 3.0 - better Currency Tab - buffed zana ( damm i love the breaches <3 ) - Rly nice Laby ( i liked it bevor, but now OMG... by far the best change for me) What they rly made bad - ES change, simply a meta shift and destroyed MOST es builds, while i see a 11k life build who face roll the content xD - Pathfinder + alchemy cluster ... you are forced to either use the jewl or loose the 15 ms and 20 attack speed and get an extra small node 30 Shores with Double Pack / Breach / Max Sextants https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2006424/page/1 First Selfmade Build as Sparker ( MF ) https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1637690 1 Million Tool Tip Dps Sparker https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1761162 Last edited by KillerKrug#1803 on Aug 19, 2017, 5:45:06 PM

See, for me, 3.0 is great in a lot of respects - The leveling is fun, the drops aren't anywhere near as bad as people are making out, harbingers aren't awesome but they're still something different and the new orbs are handy, I really like the less over the top armour skin (though not so much the effects - they'll just sit there in my stash), the pantheon was a cool idea that didn't quite pan out as planned but it still works well enough and a bunch of stuff that was detrimental to the game got reigned in (a bit too hard in some cases, not enough in others and some things that have languished for years could have definately used a buff, but overall, it's better balanced than previously).
I wish GGG would have a week long void race soon where everyone starts off at lvl 70 with 15 headhunters and every harbinger explodes into a shower of Ex so those who want to kill 3 packs and be fully geared for their next 14 characters can have their fun while those of us who believe that a league is meant to take more than a week to finish continue to play in the current harbinger league. Yes, breaches are fun and I'm glad they're still around, but I would still like them even if their drop rates were 1/20th of what they are now. I wonder how many here could say the same? I suspect that a lot of people seem to to forget that the wanting is more of a driver than the having and easy access to loot pinatas is bad for long term retention as people get bored quickly. Obvously it can go too far the other way, but I honestly don't think we're there yet. Harbinger was always going to be a bit of a hard sell due to legacy meaning that no matter if you liked Breach, Perandus or even Warbands, you could fairly easily run your favourite league mechanic at the drop of a hat or change it up if it ever got stale while avoiding any leagues you didn't like. It's rarely going to be a good thing when you give someone their favouite thing and then take it away. |

" I'd do breaches if they dropped nothing, I just love their swarming nature its fantastic! |

" i'm a supporter and it sucks so what now?and they had to release a supporter pack since they always release packs with a league so plz ... and about complaining overall even if its just a f2p game u know complaining is sometimes necessary to improve the game if u can't handle such threads or posts don't read other comments and stop complaining about complainers |
|
" Keep in mind some people hide their supporter packs, myself included because i dont want that to be a factor. And a some of us have every right to ask for better when we have played the game for years. You seem to missunderstand the difference between complaints and constructive critisisme. |

I'm relatively new (used legacy to learn game basics and actually doing the things this league). Picked up both outlaw and harbinger supporter packs.
I'm enjoying the league and have nothing really negative to say really, but one observation is that the 3.0 development took away from the league's. Whether true or false, the optics on that are clear! Am I having fun? Absolutely. Is my opinion shaded by being fairly new? Probably. Could it be better? Yup! Is there value in providing feedback (both good and bad)? Nothing more valuable! -cheers "Life is weighted dice. You have some control over the outcome, but you'll never win if you don't roll."

" lol I really doubt you are a supporter show them bro I dont see any any key!

TRDR: Misguided design philosophy due to poor interpretation of data leads to shitty leagues like Harbinger and Harbinger league should be deleted and a new league rolled out.
I've supported them a lot(460 or so dollars) but have stopped due to them failing to make a good challenge league in recent times. I think they need to re-evaluate their philosophy on challenge leagues. IIRC Chris Wilson had stated in an interview that they will no longer make challenge leagues that add to the difficulty of the game without it being optional. I think this is due to old leagues like Invasion doing very poorly. But, I also think GGG has MAJOR issues with interpreting data they collect and this is one of the areas that they have done just that(Another example of them failing to handle collected data properly is when they asked for feedback on what to make the 2nd 2 week league they seriously need to hire an data analyst). If invasion was balanced and desync didn't exist, the league would have been great. But, GGG, unable to interpret data just looks at player numbers and say, "oh, challenging content bad, never do it again!" Then we end up with neutered crap leagues like Harbinger. There is a real argument for GGG to flat out delete Harbinger league and start over. It is that bad. I could never say that about any other league. But, GGG will look at player numbers and be like well this league was a huge success, and ignore the fact that it coincided with 3.0 and well end up with more garbage leagues. Until GGG hires a proper data analyst well see these errors happen over and over like they have in the past. |
