Are you buying a new rig for 3.0?

Yeah, my old laptop that has been running POE just fine since CB in 2012 has finally been retired, and I am setting up a new laptop for 3.0. Old laptop had a Nvidia T630M GPU with 1GB RAM, I7 CPU (forgot the specs) and 8GB memory.

New laptop specs:

RAM : 8 GB
HDD : 1000 GB
PROCESSOR : INTEL CORE i7-7500U
GPU : NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 950M

Admittedly the old laptop has struggled with POE endgame content since Breach league, the reason why my activity has been low for the last 6 months or so. Really looking forward to some POE again on a laptop that can actually handle the game.

Recently bought a late 2016 model iMac that's fully loaded and it plays PoE to sweet perfection! I'm excited to see how it handles 3.0
Still on a 2600k and gtx 760, game runs fine 99% of the time.

I swear when I replace that 2600k its going in a glass case. Damn thing has served me smooth gaming for years...

1) wtf does that even mean

and
2) bullcrap.
I just built an R7 1700 rig, it's epic for PoE. Runs much better than my Haswell quad did. I kept the same GPU, just running a cheap ass RX 470 right now but that's really fine for PoE at 1080p 75hz, the CPU was the limiting factor for me and PoE loves this R7 with DDR4-2666.

I just got Ryzen 1600 + GTX 1080 as they went quite down compared to GTX 1070 and the performance difference (all thx to release of GTX 1080Ti)

Tested couple maps, the performance seems great. As for solo play i never dropped under 100fps on DX11 settings with everything maxed except Anti Aliasing (no point having it enabled for monitor with good pixel density). Highs 300+

Tested one map in party with a summoner, only problem seems to be server side lags and stutters.

AMD Ryzen 1600 (no O.C. yet)
2x 8192 Corsair DDR4 3200 (wasn't able to get above 2933, but considering price difference with G.Skill kit, i will sacrifice the 3% of performance for 10% price difference)
MSI GTX 1080 8GB
256 SSD
4TB slow data drive
100Hz Qnix 27" monitor 1440P

from the investigation this seems like best bang for the buck i can get overall. Surprising that AMD + Nvidia works together this well.
