Everyone dishes ES, but can we take into account the obscene requirements to be "end-game" viable?

player defenses have almost exclusively been nerfed.

No fucking way. It's power creep fucking everywhere.

ZO was added. -Nothing wrong with it, very niche.
GR was added. -Expanding from Zealot's Oath, the idea that ES would be another form of mitigation instead of another form of HP was flawed. So since ES has transcended to its proper use, kind of needed.
VP was added(!). -Sure, strong and nice. It would not be needed if normal leech wasn't nerfed to shit in the Awakening expansion. Only way to deal with reflect right now, a retarded mechanic.
MoM was added.
Acrobatics was heavily buffed. -Yet still sucks.
Specialty flasks (granite!) were added. -Are you sure you want to give Granite as an example? Basalt is a much better example. Basalt also shows how terrible armor mechanics are by default and is a band aid.
Anti-status flasks became immunity during duration. -Seeing how statuses can be applied constantly, kind of logical.
Vaal Discipline was added. -And nerfed.
Leech became non-physical and globally available everywhere. -And shit without VP. Also, not globally available to spells without leech gem.
Unique armor pieces have shown significant power creep. -True, but once again a band aid.

Nothing has been done about the core mechanics of defences being terrible.

Evasion sucks.
Armour sucks.
Energy shield sucks without Vaal Pact/Ghost Reaver, with the exception of Occultist shenanigans.
Leech sucks without Vaal Pact.
Life Regen got nerfed and the new damage benchmarks are much bigger than what you can sustain with it.

There is no meaningful defence mechanic other than resists in this game.
