Be careful what you wish for - i have no never seen GG do anything else but put harder and harder things in game, and scale the content higher in power.
Do not be so sure they will tone it down much without instant leech, but be sure it will be a lot less pleasurable. However, what OP says is generally true so that's that. I am the light of the morning and the shadow on the wall, I am nothing and I am all.
