Donald Trump and US politics

Thanks, but just found out the first video WAS staged, and intentionally released - on Nov 21/22 2016 - as part of the Mannequin Challenge. The group (White Helmets) took a lot of criticism for doing this shortly thereafter.

Hahaha, that's actually hilarious. Not in a good way though, that's for sure.
GGG banning all political discussion shortly after getting acquired by China is a weird coincidence.
>be Assad
>blow ISIS the fuck out
>make Trump abandon regime change policy
>life is good
>"hmm what should i do next?"
>"i know! i'll gas some babies for the lulz"

Makes sense.

Have a cookie because this is some fine logic and truth in this thread for once.
Notorious Alt-Right agitator Noam Chomsky calls Trump-Russia conspiracy obsession "a joke":

NOAM CHOMSKY: It’s a pretty remarkable fact that—first of all, it is a joke. Half the world is cracking up in laughter. The United States doesn’t just interfere in elections. It overthrows governments it doesn’t like, institutes military dictatorships. Simply in the case of Russia alone—it’s the least of it—the U.S. government, under Clinton, intervened quite blatantly and openly, then tried to conceal it, to get their man Yeltsin in, in all sorts of ways. So, this, as I say, it’s considered—it’s turning the United States, again, into a laughingstock in the world.

So why are the Democrats focusing on this? In fact, why are they focusing so much attention on the one element of Trump’s programs which is fairly reasonable, the one ray of light in this gloom: trying to reduce tensions with Russia? That’s—the tensions on the Russian border are extremely serious. They could escalate to a major terminal war. Efforts to try to reduce them should be welcomed. Just a couple of days ago, the former U.S. ambassador to Russia, Jack Matlock, came out and said he just can’t believe that so much attention is being paid to apparent efforts by the incoming administration to establish connections with Russia. He said, “Sure, that’s just what they ought to be doing.”

On one hand I want to applaud Twitter for at least seeming to care about privacy, but then given how often they automatically silence one side of the debate and allow obvious violations of their policies to continue, I know that this is just grandstanding. If it were Hillary asking for the names of anti-Hillary tweeting accounts, they would hand them over in a New York minute.

Twitter will either comply, or when Trump has finished clearing out the rats in the intel community, every single account on Twitter will be opened up, scanned and logged, and Twitter won't even be allowed to comment on it. The major phone carriers, and several ISPs have already been through the process. A few of them sued for the right to reveal whether they had been forced to give up info to the federal government, but I don't recall any of them winning.

I remember for a long time on twitter during the election and ever after, everything positive being said about Trump was censored.

What Hillary would have done doesn't really matter IMO, I think that what it matters is the law, whoever is doing should always be held accountable if they commit a crime. In this case it seems that the Trump Administration was requesting the "unmask" without the evidence that the owner of that twitter account committed a crime, so I can assume they were violating his/her privacy without reason, I don't think people should see this as normal.

About Twitter banning people, that wasn't violation of freedom of speech, it's their platform, if people infringe their terms of agreement(which they agreed upon joining) then Twitter can ban them as they please. I used to frequent a forum where I couldn't mention the name of any other games or else I would be banned, their forum, their rules.

People might question the ethics of it(just like some did with Facebook when they allowed fake news to spread during the election), but its completely within the law.
