There are required courses related to this. The flop and fake a critical illness is very common. Here's an example - While shopping a tall athletic man knocks an elderly woman to the ground and steals her purse. Some nearby shoppers try to grab the man, but he punches one in the face knocking him backward, and shoves the other shopper backwards hard enough that he falls over backward and splatters the pavement with blood. The purse snatcher begins running. Some other people nearby run after the man, and then a store security officer manages to grab hold of him and bring him down. The store security officer tells the customers to stay back, and pins the purse snatchers arms. The thief is now screaming that he can't breath, and that he has a heart condition. He continues to scream and talk about his heart. The store security officer is trying to maintain control of the thief while reaching for his handcuffs. The thief breaks free, punches the store security officer, and runs off the parking lot into a nearby open field (a few trees). Fortunately, there were two police helicopters available, and they were able to catch the thief. When you go to the emergency room, there's a reason they ask you what your symptoms are. Having some, but not others lets them rule out certain life threatening issues. It's called a differential diagnosis. Many first responders are very skilled in knowing the difference between a heart attack, a seizure, a hypoglycemic episode etc. The more bodycams are up and running all the time, the less thugs will be able to pretend police brutality when it isn't happening.
