I haven't seen a single person I know that is supportive of Trumpcare/Ryancare or whatever you want to call it. I don't know where people get the idea that there is this huge support behind it. Maybe the same type of propaganda that assures them that impeachment is imminent? I've only seen posts of people hating it or calling it "Obamacare Light" etc..

It's weird, on my facebook.. democrats are gloating that it's dead and laughing at Trump... and Pro Trump people are happy it's dead and laughing at paul ryan.... but foreigners online are only like

"lol all trump supporters BTFO, so much losing"

Plus, if you look at Pro Trump forums online, the overall census is that they are very happy that it was shot down.

Some Swede today had the effrontery to tell me that I'm lucky that the bill is dead because, get this!, I can keep my Obamacare that costs $220/mo with the 24k deductible which no doctors in my area take and 1 hospital WAY on the other side of town where nobody goes unless they want to end up in hospital or dead.

Wait, there were reports that people liked AHCA?

All I ever heard was people against it, from all sides and walks. Other than the few people that were involved in making it, and Spicey.

I think every poll about it varied between 17% and 20% approval. That's even below the expected 37% that would just agree anything Trump was good, for no reason.

It's important to try and bring down the costs of Obamacare, and it's important to keep it from collapsing. Market based reforms will be a big part of fixing it, and this bill really didn't utilize them.

It didn't pass because they tried to have a small team write it and then push it on everyone else. If they involved more people - including the democrats - they would end up with a bill that would pass with some bilateral support. It might not be everything the GOP wants, but compromise is not a dirty word.
