Obviously, they will go on a rant about how Obama only paid 18.7% ($81,472 on $436,065) in 2015, and Rachel Maddow will be on again to show the outrage for Bernie Sanders only paying 13.5% ($27,653 on $205,571)

I'm confused. I mean, I totally get that, prior to finding a Trump return, lefties would be clamoring for one. But once Maddow's producers got their hands on this and read it, shouldn't they have said to themselves "fuck, we got 4D chessed," and given up the story? I mean, obviously this particular line of 4D chess moves depended on some left-wing outlet being so desperate for ratings and attention that they'd release it anyway, but Maddow? Really?

She tried to spin it as "look this got leaked so there will definitely be more to come", kind of as a threat towards Trump. But Trump probably leaked this shit himself so that didn't work out lol.

Someone probably got greedy and thought they could get away with it. And they probably will... So much sh*t going around that by next week people won't even remember that.

I kinda hate how things work these days...

Edit: It seems that the dude who found the tax returns said they were anonymously put in his mailbox... And the White House was out with a statement confirming details of the return even before Rachel's segment aired.

Well good on them for reporting it one way or another. But 4D chess? Really? Having something like this, which defuses one of the ongoing negative rumors one has, and waiting until long after the election to release it? That's like the USA waiting to pull out the atom bomb until the war is over, the treaty has been signed, and Japan has started producing the famicom.

And I'm not sure this quite does this. Yeah, a "billionaire" (because all we have is Trump's incredibly tarnished word to go on that he actually is a billionaire) making a hundred million dollars in a year payed a lower tax rate than my dad, who runs his own independent landscaping business. That's kinda gross, wouldn't you say?
